Editor: Greene King UK
Video Crew: Greene King UK We all face difficult conversations every day, but it’s how you handle these that matter. Most importantly, it’s how we converse about these that can be life changing. At their worst, difficult conversations can be destructive and demoralising, but at their best they can be extremely transformative. Fran is an Executive Leadership Coach working at senior and board level with a wealth of commercial experience and proven coaching techniques. In this talk she will draw on her own journey of life changing illness diagnoses, working in high pressure teams and professional burnout to demonstrate how we can learn from challenging life and work events to shape and construct the best ways to handle difficult conversations.
Through her wealth of experience and personal setbacks, you will gain insight into her proven techniques; how to plan for any difficult conversation, the benefit of being confident, clear and concise in your narrative and how to ensure that you get the result that you want. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Great talk Fran, on such an important topic. Having been on both sides of the "You're fired!" type conversations more than once, wish I'd seen this years ago! Love your practical steps - highly recommend for anyone in, or aspiring to, a management role - or in fact anyone interacting with people.
