Do you get rid of the old main rhizome?

Hi Linda - The original rhizome will not bloom again. So it is ok to toss the original rhizome. Happy Iris Dividing!

Hello! Smaller shoots may take two years to produce blooms, but larger shoots should bloom the following spring.
