@@iiiiii7739 Take Ariel - she is Danish in origin. Making her any other race detracts from her origins. In most of those based upon Fairy Tales, race is a primary factor in the tale. It would be like making Black Panther white...totally ruin it. Or making Ghost Busters all females, they ruined it big time. I am female and hated that movie. I was all open minded, but quickly turned upon viewing. They want to make Bond female, like WTH. Almost every time they do a diversity only change, they ruin it. If a fictional character is historically 1 race or culture and Diversity PC kicks in, they alter the story. Often, yes, race, culture, sex plays a large role in a story line, be it a short story or movie. I like my characters being culturally appropriate, but if it has always been X, leave it be. Create a new story line. DO like the little Spidey stuff...they made alternative realms where Spidey was culturally and gender different and it worked because they were all existing at once. No replacement of a time marked character. Simply adding to it. I think that is one way in which they err. Add to a character story line, do not try to replace it. We get stuck in our ruts of liking 1 thing and too much change upsets many people.
