Hello. Is that a 30" or 36" bucket? Just bought a tb216 and want to have a better idea of what size bucket to buy. Thanks in advance.

The ditching bucket is around 900mm, maybe 950mm. It's just a touch smaller than the width of the machine when it's sunk in. The bucket I use the most is a 24" digging bucket with no teeth, I do a lot of works around utilities. My buckets that I have and carry are 9 inch with teeth for roots and stumps 12 inch no teeth for trenching 18 inch with teeth (shpuld remove) for footings 24 inch without teeth (use the most) 24 inch with teeth for topsoiling and bulking 900mm ditching bucket 24" riddle bucket without teeth Hope that helps and good choice in machine

@@ProdigyPlantHire wow thanks for the quick and very detailed reply. You seem to have the most videos using the tb216, so I figured I'd ask you! I have a 12&18" with teeth and wanted to get a larger bucket to grade and move more dirt quicker. They are the tag buckets with their quick attatch system so I'm kind of stuck buying their system or selling the two buckets I have and starting over. I'm new to the machine but from watching reviews and lots of your videos I assumed the tb216 was a good solid machine.

@chile2be991 you made a good choice. They are a fantastic machine. Keep her serviced every 250 hours and greased l, she should treat you well I would personally go for a standard 30mm pin pickup quickhitch. It will make it much easier to get buckets and attachments either buying or hiring (breakers) Make sure you get a hitch with two pin pickup like mine. This will give you the most options (easier) A tip for you, when pulling the tracks in, lift the machine right off the ground to do so, and make sure you do not have loads of mud/stone etc on the undercarriage as this will cause issues and jamming the tracks in place. @@ProdigyPlantHire Yes I definitely lift the machine to pull/extended tracks. Are you using the rhinox buckets and quick hitch? I know you are in the UK and that seems to be a popular manufacturer for mini ex buckets. If so, are you happy with the quality of their buckets?

@chile2be991 some of my buckets are rhinox, they are OK, nothing special about them but also nothing wrong with them. I have a couple genuine takeuchi ones as well, again, they do a job. My hitch is a pro lock, it's a standard 2 pin pickup which you use a ratchet to tighten the bucket to the machine. Its not my first choice but it does mean you remove any slack from the quick hitch everytime you put a bucket on which is good. I would like a land rake bucket for it (basically a ditching bucket eith holes and tines on) they are good for topsoiling (with dry material) but never got around to getting one
