Well that’s why Colin is super successful on KZbin. He knows exactly how to create content and now with two channels, he’s continuing with what he always did here and is giving us completely different content on the second channel, which is why it’s growing so quickly. A lot of other creators just regurgitate their content, rather than actually have two completely different channels

Those transitions from model to reality, beautiful. Super interesting video Colin, the explanations and visuals were fantastic. I went to an MOD bunker in north London, hidden under a post office. It's disused as the membrane and concrete cracked, the water table floods the complex. All pipework, cables, ventilation and generators are rusted beyond repair from the damp. Be careful if you install the window in the car storage.

Absolutely love the model of the project. As others have already commented, it really helps visualize the true scale and massive undertaking that this project really is. Totally needs to be a display piece in that part of the bunker once everything is finished. One question I have, and I know this is still a ways out from now, is are there going to be any concerns for moisture leaking in for the car lift and if there are already some plans in mind to avoid that? Especially given the crazy amount amount of rain you have already been getting so far. Keep up the amazing work!

Colin, as a commercial builder, they make stone sealer that can be used on rocks, bricks, concrete, etc., for aesthetic effect (clear) as well as a solid moisture barrier. If you make your window room tight enough to hold back concrete then you should be able to seal that whole area off with stone sealer to nearly eliminate moisture… if you include ventilation from your garage.

I must be missing something, but I don't understand what the part of the underground room that's been built so far is actually for. Why isn't there just a continuation of the tunnel leading directly into the bit where the car lives?
@kevtamus
@kevtamus 2 ай бұрын
@@Michael75579 The whole room is the underground garage - but only the turntable section will raise and lower, the rest is just the rest of the underground garage - like a 3 car garage that only has a section that raises to the world above. Collin said that a real estate agent told him (to the question, how this raises the value of the house) if he ever would sell this he should sell it as a Bunker with a house on the lot, not a house with a bunker in the garden. This is a one in a million Home. Thanks for sharing.

I wish I could afford something like this. Crazy expensive material cost alone, at least 300.000€ or probably much higher since he uses a huge amount of steel and welding gas. This highly reinforced garage is probably gonna be another 100.000€ in material.

When this build is complete I think it will be your finest work. Ps - if the window feature doesn’t work with the condensation, maybe have something inspired by back to the future as a feature wall / backdrop.

Very nice visual explanation of the project so we can see your vision and follow along. I’m not sure the glass window will work good. Maybe instead, you take a high quality photo of the rock that is there, and once the room is complete, you get a image decal of the rock made to put right where the rock is on the other side of the wall so you know what is there, but still be structural and with fewer future issues dealing with moisture to contend with

I think a solid roof. A car parked on top normally, eg "project car" wrapped in a cocoon, which lifts up when the real car comes up. When Colin is running from the police ( admit it, it's going to happen ) he can drive in, lower the lift and by the time the cops get there, it is a junker that hasn't moved for years in the only obvious place.
