I like the stoneware mug Kevin, even though it’s chipped, it’s a cool piece! You really have been finding a great collection of antiques, especially the cast iron plate, 😊!

One of the other channels I watch says you need to comment with at least 8 words for the algorithm to recommend your videos. Nice finds by the way you're so lucky to live somewhere like this where you can go digging! I'm jealous! Thank you again for your videos I can watch yours and live vicariously through you! 😊

Interesting... I wonder if there's truth to that...

Another good video - fav was the stove plate but I saw a wagon wheel hub I would have to bring out also. Those are so easy for people to repurpose and upcycle. Btw my underestanding is that the YT algorithm really takes a deep dive into the relevance of a comment to give it a "weight." The more relevant the comment is to the video and discussion the more it helps your channel. Comments are important to new videos but are also essential to reviving older videos and adding to a "income stream." That is one reason why it is worthwhile for the creator to respond to older comments. Many channels don't do this and they really lose out on the power of the algorithm.

Hello Kevin. This was a nice video and Lew and I enjoyed watching it. Nice finds! My grandfather found a flashlight just like that digging in a dump during the 1950's. He was born on 02/10/1912. The flashlight's have the same year on them. 🙂Nice old dish and it seems to have a nice old glaze to it. Some really old dishes have no makers names on them and we have found them like that to. We hope you can repair that old mug and it's a nice find. That iron stove plate is really cool to! We wish you good health an luck. We are looking forward to watching more of your videos. Take care and happy hunting to you. -----Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew.) Merry Christmas!

I'm the first to comment!? I'd like to see the repairs on that mug. I'd never have thought it could be fixed.

I see now I wasn't the first. I returned to the video after doing some errands and it must not have loaded the other comments.

The stove piece will clean up good. I don’t know much about flashlights, always thought they were from the 1940’s onward, but now I will certainly be checking my flashlights when I find them, that one was pretty neat. 😊👍

Too bad about losing the Eastlake brass.😢 Those stove plates make great trivets. I mounted one on maple and use it daily. Love the Bell-ans bottle and flashlight!

Good morning Kevin. Surprised to see it hasn't been too snowy for you to get out and about to do a dump digging video for us being that far north. I love the saucer. Very pretty design and looks late 20s or early 30s. The flashlight cleaned up nice. Proud you kept that. The frosted jar looks to be a jelly or preserve jar. Thanks Kevin. Ed

This is older footage. We've had snow and rain today. I did get out over the weekend... it was a muddy experience lol

You need some of those Royal Doulton Mini head mugs to do shots from. Look for those in antique stores. They make Pirate ones....so it ties right into with what you are doing. I saw a few real awesome Mugs....Capt. Henry Morgan...Long John Silver. You gotta get em dude.
