@KleshGuitars heres a bit of an update on the scottish gold. Following Scotgold Resources auctioning in November 2016 of the first ever commercially-mined Scottish gold, extracted at Cononish near Tyndrum, the mining firm continues operations under agreement from Estate Scotland. The sale demonstrated the premium for Scottish gold, with an average price of £4,557.9 per ounce, 378% over the spot price on global commodity markets at the time of £953.

As a testimonial to the sensitivity. I was working along the bank of a trout stream in Colorado, found a target in a sand/gravel bar. I dug down and finally got the target in my scoop, at least 6" below the surface. When I finally picked it out it was about a #16 trout fly. The GM 1000 detected that tiny hook under about 6" of sand and gravel

That was the other machine I was considering. I ended up going with the equinox 800 due to it having more general capabilites. It still detects a 0.24gr flugget on edge of flat at a few inches. The gold monster was definitely in the running and if I did more prospecting, it probably would've won out! 👍

i have a piece of 30 mesh gold from a bag of paydirt, adjusted the settings after each failed attempt to locate using with the discriminator on and off. had the gain all the way up to auto 2, then back down to the bottom. i have another piece in a jar, GM sees the one in the jar, but the other one which is mixed in with material from my groups claim GM still does not see that piece. if people are using GM to find only nuggets, makes ya wonder how much (smaller than nugget) gold they are not catching with the GM.
@Klesh
@Klesh 3 жыл бұрын
That's interesting. Most likely mineralization and not ground balanced correctly. When I found a small flake (seen in my australia videos with busted knuckels prospecting) with the GM i was very surprised at how small the gold flake was. OF course it was on bedrock, without much mineralization interference.

There is a mentioned third option with most detectors that is not mention much. They say "yes","no" and "i dont know". Salt on your skin can also set it off which is why a plastic scoop is important. I have been researching what i need for prospecting my area and the gold monster 1000 seems to be my best option...now if only they had an uploadable platinum group detection software suite . Shane , you forgot to bring a loupe brother. You may have nano fine stuff that the detector is seeing, but the eyes are not. If there are 20-30 pieces of nano fines, they would all be adding to the signal strength. Be well man. Do you think you will ever get back into british columbia to colab more with dan or pauly? Perhaps 911prospecting would let you go on an adventure if you talked to justin?

O'Brien is right, tape around the edge of the coil keeps sand and dirt from getting under the cover, but you also need to tape the wire to the pole in 3 or 4 places to keep it from jiggling and giving you a false signal. Everything nice and tight.

Hello sir. I live in denver. I'm intrested in buying a small claim for me and my boys. Is there any help you could give me on finding a real claim not a scam.

Research and never take anyone's word for it. Beware of buying"salted" claims. Test pan all over the claim you're looking to buy, dig deep. Stay away from the obvious areas, that's where the claim seller would most likely add gold. Good luck!

When r gonna ship to Canada? If Mr Hurd can ship to the US, you should be able to ship to Canada.

Correct, and I disagree with the US laws about shipping "Biological products" overseas. Unfortunately, it's the law. However, there are videos of people in other countries actually reviewing my paydirt, i think they're using some sort of import company. Not sure exaclty how but there's still a way!

Maybe you should do a give away for subscribers. Then the others will subscribe. Either that or 73% of the viewers are coming across your channel by searching for certain brands of paydirt.

For the past few years on my live stream channel I’ve been doing giveaways every week for non-subscribers. Usually a large gold nugget and at least $1,000 in silver coins. Sometimes more than once a week, but always at least once a week.

@@Klesh wow that's awesome. I should check out your other channel! I am subscribed. I love the content. And it's nice to see the real deal on KZbin. Sometimes we just don't find the gold or the best treasures while metal detecting. Thanks for keeping it real!
