Here is another video from one of our fossil hunts, make sure to stick around to the end of the video to see the special fossil at the end! This is an insight into the past, what life was like 180 Million Years Ago even before many of the most famous land-dwelling Dinosaurs ever existed.

Thanks for watching, we hope you enjoyed the video! *The ammonite mentioned at 00:25 and at 09:30 is actually a Liparoceras ammonite, not a Lytoceras!

What a video! Truly amazing ammonites, the fossilized wood looked like it had it's bark preserved? and that lovely plate of shells. And then to round off, great footage of that starfish! One of your very best 😊 🦕🦖🐚

Incredible content as always. Your Dad's skills are phenomenal and you lads are a credit to him with your knowledge and humility. I loved seeing the ammonite go from it's raw state to it's polished finished state whereby we could see it in all it's glory. Thank you for sharing. I love that your family works together both fossil hunting and the restoration. Keep up the great work. And high fives to your dad for his many hours of dedicated and specialised work. Absolutely loved all of this and especially the preparation work at the end of the video. The quality of the the filming and editing is excellent and helps the viewer engage with the subject. So much so I ordered an ammonite quite recently from your site. Would love to see more preparation videos though. They don’t have to be narrated to still be fascinating although Aaron you narrate them well.

I have enjoyed watching your videos (though it does me no good as the vagaries of age now curtail me) and am envious of some of your finds. What is particularly interesting is how different are most of the species of ammonites you find compared to where I am, at the other end of the Jurassic layers, in Dorset. Here, the Liparoceras you found is relatively common. I have several whole specimens from circa 3" to 9". Lytoceras is rare, it took me 10 years to find a whole specimen and saw few part specimens. A major difference is that here, nodules showing the keel of the ammonite on the outer edge barely exist.

How old is it estimated that the large ammonite would have been when it died? Do they think it would have been a ring for a season, like trees, or a ring for a year? An ammonite that size must have really old.
