This is very good advice. I like that you're training people to test what they hear coming from a platform or commentary. In my studies, a lot of commentaries and teachers are just dead wrong. In these last days, deception is rampant and so we must know our Bible intimately.

It's called being a Berean. Acts 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. People in the church have stopped questioning what is being said from the pulpit.

With all due respect, I would not say the exalted are humbled: The rich refers to people who think they know everything, They have everything, so they come to God for nothing, because they think they have everything by their own doing and their own might. Given that the poor, will be elevated in Christ, the rich will be judged and stricken down. Christ is not coming back, in the second coming to humble people, He is coming as a King, to get the justice that is long overdue Him. The rich and poor doing not just merely swap places - those struck down, will spend an eternity in a consuming, never ending lake of burning sulfur - something far beyond being humbled.

Just read the Bible and think about what you've read. To meditate means to consider carefully.
