OMG!!! I am soooo glad you are getting Sadie riding lessons. The bond that you can build with a horse is magical. Treat them right and they will do anything you ask of them. When my first horse broke his leg and I had to put him down I was decimated. My heart and soul were shattered into a kazillion pieces. It was months and months before anyone could talk about him without me crying. I wish for Sadie to find this bond with a horse. It is sooo humbling when you get a 1000 lb animal to do what you want…willingly. Or a scare trigger appears and your horse trusts you enough that you can talk him through it. I wish this magical bond to happen for Sadie.

Jordan, your philosophy regarding respect is spot on. Also, your relationship with Kaylee is an example of what relationships should be. It’s refreshing. It’s refreshing how much you both love the land around you. It truly is beautiful. Sadie is thriving.

One summer I stayed in an RV park and there was a little girl like Sadie there. She took a liking to me. She loved "fresh" carrots. We had little garden plots but I had not planted carrots. I went to the market and found some carrots that were picked only, not cleaned or anything. I put them into some soil in my little garden plot. Then the next day I asker the girls mom if I could take her over to my garden plot. A short walk. We went over and "found" the carrots. She was absolutely ecstatic. One day her and her mother came over and she gave me a card she had made herself. She was 3 years old. Just so loving at that age.

My highlights of video: Moo moo getting the first carrot you grew in your greenhouse❤ and Sadie first ride on a pony❤❤ I know I'm an animal lover, and adore all the steps of childhood first experiences! QUESTION: Can you buy snow chains large enough to fit those tires? If so, perhaps you should invest in a couple of pairs. It rains a lot there, and there will be many times when you will need to move dirt until your house is complete. Just a suggestion. So far you are doing a great job. Can't wait to see the finished product.
@marshalltille77703 күн бұрын
Not a bad idea. Tracks are better, but chains may get a few more things done.
@patriciahagedorn56943 күн бұрын
Maybe snow chains on the tires might help you grip the muddy dirt.
@janpcs3 күн бұрын
I doubt if they will work. In snow and ice conditions they break the layer of snow and ice and get traction on the frozen ground. On mud and loose soil they might get a little traction but I think the difference is neglectable.

Love this episode! Sadie looks so good on the horse. Before long you're going to have a ballerina/equestrian who wants her own horse and dance studio. I've mentioned it before but, I think that if you used a gas-powered posthole digger, you would save your backs and make it a lot easier to dig all of the holes.

I have the same skid steer and I promise you the wraparound cleats (track )are not much better. The cleats fill with mud, especially clay and slide around and around and around It would be more expedient for you to trade in your little guy and get one with the big rubber tracks if you can.
@judithvilla60262 күн бұрын
Are you thinking of some kind of terraced/retaining garden area on your property? You could form that up with concrete and place your excess loam there keeping it out of the way. The wheeled skid steer is great for compacting the ground and will make building a construction material lay down area easier!

You can literally make your own tracks that go over your tires. Need a few old tires some steel pieces, a grinder, a drill and a welder. You can use KZbin to find a video on how to do it or at least see pictures of them done. You absolutely have the welding ability to do this very simple.

BLUEPRINT -> What does your Blueprint show for the footings? Follow the Blueprint. The Engineer made it structural, already. The Architect is the designer. Call the Engineer about the footer positioning, if it needs to be corrected, as the Architect said. To me, it looks you dug them correctly. But, I have never designed in Panama, the soil, earthquakes, and heavy rain is something I am not accustomed designing for.

To deal with the mud issue you could make chains wrap for the tires like the ones used for the snow. In my country of origin my father used them for dirt roads. You could actually make them yourself since you are a great welder. Good luck with your project.
