We were lucky enough to be invited onto one of our subscribers private property - Jim - for the day! We had a guest as well, the lovely Dani from joined us as well. Thanks so much Jim for having us, hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and Dani as well!! It was a pleasure meeting you both. And what a day we had, incredible - gold mine was the highlight. Stay tuned for part 2 where we find gold, in the gold mine!! Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy the vid and all the best! Cheers, Ant & Glenn

Thanks lads for the video and thanks Jim for providing some great specs. Nice to see you hooking up with Danielle, Ive watched her videos. Also good to see you down a hole, in my 72 years i started off with my old man dragging me down just about every live and abandoned mine in Australia digging for everything but gold, I didn't include gold until I was in my 20's . I have a story about gold found in driveways. My brother in law owned a scaffolding company and a few years ago he pulled his truck into a service station in Mogo, part of the driveway was gravel. When his employee jumped out the passenger door he saw a glint in a puddle and picked up a one and a half ounce nugget. it made the local paper and within a week the whole driveway was concreted because under cover of dark guys were turning up and digging up his driveway. I know where the gravel came from. Its several hundred of acres of thick quartz pebbles that was in itself a gold mine not so long ago. now the whole site is off limits as a gravel company own it. They use the quartz pebbles mixed with bitumen so half the roads in the shire are probably paved with gold. Congrats Ant on that beaut specie. And to Glen, Ant, Ken, Danielle I wish you all the happiest of Christmases and a gold filled new year . Cheers

An amazing place Jim has, seeing inside the mine was just spectacular, probably the best display for understanding exactly what a quartz reef is, thanks Glenn-o for your insights as ever, the native cherry 🍒 was excellent to see, the scientific name explains it well, outside seed Exocarpos cupressiformis looks like a cypress tree. Ballart is the indigenous name, and the straight young shoots are taken for shaping into spears over a fire, once dry, a very hard timber. Cheers too to Ken, and Danielle. We have Red-tailed Black Cockatoos every afternoon fly from the direction of Hallam pasf us at Narre Warren to their nightly roost near Lysterfield Reservoir, we'd mimic a call to them if we're walking under their flight path, and they'd call back with enthusiasm, usually a flock of seven. The specimens found are fantastic, and aside from the old nails no modern rubbish to contend with, very much looking forward to Part Deux, Jim, Ant, Glenn, Ken and Danielle, and season's greetings plus happy swinging in '25!
