With those mango trees you really should prune them (after harvest! ) to get a better yield next year and healthier trees. Get rid of all the branches growing straight up and those growing back in to center, cut the rest back a node or two. As you surmised mango fruit is on the end of a branch, by cutting a branch back to a lower leaf node you force it to branch. Then you will get 3 or 4 new branches off each old branch, with fruit on each of them next year, and also keeps the fruit at an easy height to reach. There are plenty of "how to" videos here on KZbin.

Sompit trimmed them a couple weeks back, but I have no idea what her logic is when cutting. I will have her read this though, cause she don't listen to me! lol.

Morning Kenny and Sompit. You're getting on with it, you may be 60 years old, but still as fit as a mallee bull. I've got some post holes to dig also but not looking forward to it 😢

I have hated digging (by hand) my whole life. I really should buy an auger, as a couple people suggested.

kenny you could put some circular pads on the legs of the furniture but it would slide a bit
@ParadiseNThailand15 күн бұрын
That's what I told Sompit. We used a couple towels instead. May look at buying a set of those sliders for future use though.

kenny if its only grey water you don't have to seal the rings the water will seep out for years
@ParadiseNThailand15 күн бұрын
Yes, I did that project yesterday. You will see i drilled holes in the sides to accommodate lower into the hole and did not seal them, the rings, or the inlet pipe for the reason you said.

dang...looks like a lot of work.....lol...one best purchase I ever made was the Lazada Auger for 2,800 baht...punch out the post holes with ease...!
@ParadiseNThailand15 күн бұрын
Considered that but didn't think I would have a lot of use for it after this project. I do have thoughts on a couple structures that ill have post, so maybe.

I also bought a two stroke auger. Have dug a lot of holes with it. Bought a small 5 inch auger also comes in very handy. I use the auger for planting fruit trees and aerating compost.

I made the same mistake you have...using concrete post on ur boarder...the cows will rub up against them and crack them.....wood is far better....i had to replace abiut 30 of mine due to the neighbours cows....tried to get him to go halfs....no chance.

They are quite fragile since they do not put rock in them. I have had the others in for two years now and have not had any broken from the cows yet. Had I, I may have gone to the steel posts.
