Just a tip, if you mark 1’, 2’, 3’ (or whatever measurements you’ll commonly need while digging) just mark the shovel from tip of the spade to wherever on the handle and you’ll save your tape measures from getting ruined in inclement weather. Love yall

What an amazing group of people and the warmth of their hearts. Thank you Wish I could express what watching your videos add to my day. xox the story that is happening around me it's hard to believe. I'm having trouble processing it all of it, seriously I just left my husband in a rehab center after being in the ICU since Thanksgiving Day a week ago. He has congestive heart failure. My cousin calls me on Tuesday her husband dropped dead . . . on the bathroom floor no less. Seriously I can't make this up what ever happened at least he still had his pants UP. I'm here terrified that I'm going to lose my husband, and her husband dies while she takes a nap. Tomorrow is trash pickup; I threw away a whole not even picked out turkey. Perfection and table ready the whole thing untouched and all the other parts that make up a thanksgiving dinner for seven. I'm so blessed he is alive, and he's good. His heart is bad, very bad only a 10-15 %. To whomever is reading this, I'm sorry but I needed to type this out and unload, process and digest it somehow it happened here. My husband's name is Barry our 40th anniversary is on March 9,2025 I really want him here then and for as long as his body will allow. I am old fashioned in the way I care for him, and what shocks me is how fast a little congestion took off in 36 hours. life is fast text or call the ones you love and be there for them.

You guys are now honorary Brits - you have learned to switch between Imperial and Metric measurements in the same sentence. Now you can dig a hole 1.2m x 1.2m x 3ft deep. :))) You deal with rain pretty well too!

It's so nice to see you keeping your plans and once again starting your biggest house yet. I hope you would consider an extra upstairs room and downstairs room for all that space. My cousins grew up in one of those ranch style homes. It wasn't until they added a third bedroom, as well that extra bump out room, that they had room for everything. So glad your Teddy made it through.

We did the same here in Ecuador. We employed 10 to sometimes 17 workers for 10 months. They did use a backhoe for the cisterna and septic tank. But all cement, etc done by hand. They had 17 workers one Saturday mixing and pouring the entire 90ft long slab. I always felt we provided employment for all these folks, helping them to feed their families.

Soo happy for you guys! Excited to follow your progress. My husband and I have (and continue) to do large projects together. So just a suggestion, If I were you guys, with that many footers to dig, now that you have 2 done, while the team is digging the next two I would start the regar and concrete on the first 2. And continue that way all the way to the other end. That way, by the time you finish the last two concrete posts, your first 2 will have dried and cured enough that you can start attaching the metal beams. At any rate, lots of options and mythology to entertain. And lots of work. You guys are awesome. Much love ❤️
