Young man I just want to thank you. Bought a used Kubota last week and afetr 3 days thru the stbd side track. I fought it for 2 days trying to get it back on. Watched your video and got it on in 25 minutes. I cant tell you how much this old man appreciates your input! Pulling the track with a chain (I used nylon rope) did the trick! Pumping the grease back up was a CHORE for me....but I got it! Thank you SOOO much!!!!

Awesome positive attitude! wish I had that last night after throwing a track way back in the woods in a tight spot 😡 Covered in sweat, grease, and mosquitoes...maybe a bit of blood too!

I recently bought a 2006 Yanmar VIO75, 2 weeks ago so I am a newbie to excavators. I have used tire skid loaders and tractors my whole life. This past weekend 8/23/2020 I threw a track and was outside my comfort zone. I watched your video for pointers. It all went great. It took me about 20 minutes to get the track back on, but it took 2 hours to get the grease fitting back into the track. Since mine is old and used the grease fitting was not straight in. We had to reach in from below to get it started. After that, all went as you show. Thanks for the videos. You showing transparency and letting us know things don't always go as planned is awesome. It gave me things to watch out for as I was doing the work. Awesome videos. Thx again.

Great job man! Hate when that happens, you are more of a man than I am using that pistol grip grease gun to tighten it up! 💪🏻

Elite Earthworks LLC won’t have to use that grease gun...I manage to run right over it today😂

On most mini-excavators, you do not have to remove the grease fitting from the track tensioner, just loosen it by a turn. Is this one different?
@DigginLife214 жыл бұрын
Theodore Farkas yes. This one has a check valve you have to take out

In my experience, you’re much better off taking the entire track off, then putting the idler on first, then walking the sprocket side on...

Just some advice I got from a friend. Buy you a 20 volt grease gun it is so much easier on ya. Man I am doing my best to not lose my cool but you win the prize there.

I have to admit to being a little disappointed when you reappeared in the cab after "popping" the track back on yesterday. This is perfect! Saved for future reference as I know it's not a question of IF I'll have to do this but WHEN?!

Glad to be of future help🙏🏻

It can be it bit more pricey than a hand pump grease gun but you may want to look into an electric grease gun. I know in my line of work where we have to pump multiple tubes of grease through a component it saves a lot of time and it is soooo much more convenient.

Nice job. Very smooth. Sprocket side first, idler first. Which ever works better for each person. This method sure works great for you.

You're amazing. I wonder what makes those tracks jump of like that? I'm putting mine back on this morning. Wish me luck.

THANK YOU! Best video I have seen on this. It sucks when a track throws way back in the woods.

Does a track come off because it becomes loose over time?

Why do you suppose you jumped that track right there? It looked like it was pretty smooth ground. I think I could probably manage getting a track back on my Takeuchi TB260, I wonder now what it will be like to get a track back on my Takeuchi TL12V2 track loader. Bet I will be calling for help! Good job good vid!

Thanks for video. Got a Tekeuchi 235 a little smaller than the one in the video and came off both ends about an hour ago. That chain trick may save me

I sure enjoyed that. Like your safety comments and gentleman remarks of good humor. Did you slip it on the side hill there? I have kubota..tiny one 40 size and yes. What a learning curve. I try to keep it from loading interior with the round rocks that are so prevalent In our area. Meaning I can't turn and load the tracks inside with gravel, it doesn't give. That represents the beginning of potential problems for me. I've even snapped em in two on the old rubber ones once they break the steel cables. Ran em to long. I am a low timer on excavators so I really enjoyed this and many other informative videos. Healthy days ahead there good fellow. Marc Spokane
