Yup! HA Tasmota integration just works. I do like the broken out pin headers to easily jump to ESPHome though.

For simplicity I'd rather have the static control of UP=ON and DOWN=OFF and not interchangeable. Is this possible programable?
@digiblurDIY12 күн бұрын
You would need the two relay model to get the two buttons to do this.
@ArtThouFeelingItNow16 күн бұрын
Since these are esp32 chips, it should have bluetooth, correct? If so, does Tasmota support being a bluetooth proxy? That would be sweet to be multi-purpose.
@digiblurDIY16 күн бұрын
That is correct. I mentioned putting Esphome on it for BT Proxy usage. Tasmota doesn't support esphome functions that I am aware of

@michaelgrossman791812 күн бұрын
You mention it's not as easy to put Ephome on it, why is that? In the past I have just compiled an ESPhome config for a new switch then uploaded the file via Tasmota. Is there something stopping us from doing this to these switches?
@digiblurDIY12 күн бұрын
Yes, the partition size in the recent versions of Tasmota make it difficult since it doesn't match up with Esphome's layout. Luckily we can serial flash these to ESPHome without soldering.

Hey man your videos are really good I did start home assistant journey with your very first Poe mqtt now I am really struggling to make it work with the update 2.0 could you please do a tutorial how to fix it. I am by far a super tech I did tried and all the info I find and examples is for usb but not for the POE you review and I am happy with

What do you mean update 2.0?
@MrGiannibuttarazzi15 күн бұрын
@ right now to be exactly home assistant had a few weeks back zigbee mqtt bring the update 2.0.0.-2 and it comes with crash so the update will cause stop the guy had you mention had lost the requirement to do before update and the fix after the update , exactly zigbee mqtt do not regonize any more your antenna and does mention many examples for usb but not for Poe … I did try to request help it GitHub and keep giving me the answer the fix is there . As I mention I am by far a super yaml person but not stupid I’m unable to make it work so i had to go to backup and install my old version .. so far no one had a video tutorial what happen and how to fix it

These newer switches were a huge disappointment to me. They have a rocker instead of a single button, but they connected both sides of the rocker to the same GPIO, so you can't use them for different functions at all. They also fail to disclose that info on the Amazon listing. If you want different functions for the up and down rocker buttons, these are not the switches for you. It would have cost them virtually nothing to put the two rocker buttons on different GPIOs. Makes no sense.
@digiblurDIY16 күн бұрын
Yup. I was disappointed on the single relay for that very reason! I was kinda shocked to see the PM stuff in there though. I want to see if I can easily modify the single button to another GPIO like the dual is.

I don't see what matter is of value , i use domotivz, flash tasmota in the devices or buy it preflashed and it works
@digiblurDIY16 күн бұрын
Matter is of value to others that do not have MQTT in this case. But the cool part is this supports both.

I've had issues with Martin Jerry switches with Tasmota in my home. I have a theory on the problem -- it could be Tasmota rather than the switch, but it doesn't happen with Sonoff minis and Tasmota. Anyway, after a power outage, they tend to forget my wifi network and revert to the internal AP. Of course, that means that, although they still work locally, I lose automation. My theory is that it doesn't wait long enough trying to attach to the local wifi. Remember that in a power outage, the home wifi AP ALSO has to reboot. Has anybody else experienced this?
@digiblurDIY15 күн бұрын
Do you have an incorrect AP in the wifi 2 slot in the configuration?

The math based on the power ratings still doesn't check out. A 10 amp relay would at best support 1200 watts at 120 volts (1000 watts at 100 volts). And that's only when pushing it to its limits. Makes me a bit leery here. Their voltage and power measurements in the config page seem off as well. I'd be very surprised if you're really running at 153 volts. I'm wondering if they're measuring the voltage after converting to DC. 153 volts is close to the predicted value if you're actually running at about 110 volts AC. If the current measurements are correct, and you're running at 110 volts (still doubtful), then you're actually consuming about 62-63 watts of power (what you'd expect from a 60 watt lightbulb). There are perhaps just oversights in their programming, but seems to show a basic lack of understanding that starts to concern me, especially when compounded with their stated power ratings...

Correct. 10A relays in both models unfortunately
