imo all of the asterisk war were god tier. it came out back when i had really undiscerning taste in anime and was the catalyst of me being critical of the media i consumed. gonna sound cheesy, but that series had a pretty big impact on who i am today, at least as far as how i view art.

My SS tier would be the Shintaro Kago rap. It is the best? Probably not, but I watch almost daily and it reminds me why you are one of my favorite personalities ever. My god tier would be: The Difficulties of Being Right About Anime , the last high school anime, the Masaki Mori video and aesthetic is narrative I also love the otaku-gonzo-journal, most of the old-ass anime cast (in particular the Otaku, Manabi Straight, .hack and yuri episodes), anime is getting lazy, obviuosly the ass war saga is awesome (4, 9 12A/B are my favorites), the guide of wasting money on anime crap, accepting mediocrity, the nanoha retrospective, the KLK opening scene analysis, turn your brain off, 5 Anime For Coping w/ a Broken Limb , the first episodes ones and how I stopped caring. There are also some After Dark videos that I really like: the LN ones (that's how I discovered you, believe it or not), animag weekly, some episodes of daily digi (like the ones about moving and the one about going to the Philippines), some of the manga mondays (thanks to you I discovered Usumaru Furuya so thanks lol), the one(s) about objectivity. I also love the ones when you look back at your YT journey like the two full-story ones and this one I also really like recent debate-thing you did with May, I would love to see more vids similiar to that! Also idk if that counts but i really like Tales of Tales of Phantasia I'm sure that after this wall of text I've forgotten something lmao

I had a really strong sense of deja Vu at around 16:40, but oddly not about what was happening there, but realizing I "remember" something from later in the video. Unfortunately I was busy so I wasn't able to rewind to follow up on what reminded me. I know plenty of people don't believe in deja Vu and that's fine. I'll report back for my own sake whenever I remember what it was or if I hit that point directly. Edit: I know it's deja Vu because I was "remembering" something from a Digi video that was a tier list of his own videos and this is obviously that and he hasn't done one before. And while I lost the "memory" it was definitely from later in the video because it hasn't happened yet and this is my first time watching

I think that part of the insuccess of "Anime Worth Watching: Dead Leaves (& Pikachu's Vacation)" actually stems from the title you gave it, as its sobriety makes people think that it's an "objective" and surface-level look at those shows when all they want to hear is your opinions; In particular the title-colon-subtitle structure feels very corporate-y and calculated, and it doesn't make people want to click on your video because they don't think you have anything interesting to say about the subject. Not telling you to go full Geoff with the SEO, just something that I have observed and that hopefully helps you reach more people.

Digi as a content creator is just kinda strange for me personally. He was one of the first people I subbed to when I was 12 and he made MLP videos. I kinda quit his content for a couple of years, thought he was shit. Then when I got more into anime analysis I watched him again and think his opinions and videos are interesting and valuable. There isn't many KZbinrs I have been watching for my 6 years I've been watching youtube, I'm glad one is digi.
