I just picked this up, I played digimon world 1 when it came out and it was my favorite game on playstation by far. Picked up cybersleuth and was dissapointed by how easy the game was. Hoping this is exactly like the first one!

ZeroDex I have both new order and cyber sleuth. For me on cyber sleuth there's too many quests that you need to do to get story progress but are boring as! Like taking digimon for food and having to cycle through about 20 minutes of talking. Next order is so good! Just going to take a bit to get used to again!

Yep the original one. Love this as a sequel to the first one, they fixed so much that was wrong with the original. Added some things they could've done without, like the resource gathering being a necessity. If you're a fan of the first Digimon Digital World on PS1, then you'll absolutely love this nostalgic throwback.

Well, that was also before they split the series up into Story and World. The first Digimon Story game was on the DS in 2006. It was called Digimon World DS in the West because... usual name = more sells I guess? But the series has been split for a good while now. 2 and 3 set the bases for the Digimon Story series while the original World and original keychain games set up the current Digimon World games. So I hope that explains things for you.

1terraforce its not imposible. If ur digimon doesnt die u cant make another digivolve chart and learn skill set. If u play it till the city being larger n gym upgraded, ur digimon will digivolve quickly. Last thing there are a fish that make ur digimon life extended.

Don't forget you can only extend your digimon's lifespan in lategame and its the same with the evolution items. And the lifespan thing. Its the most effective when in the post game content.

I played the Classic Digimon World games but I always found them so complicated and not very appealing except for Digimon World 4 which I absolutely loved with a passion, I still play that today. That said I'm willing to give this game a go because it's always nice to see these games get released over here and I LOVED Cyber Sleuth and All Star Rumble too.

Digimon dying is the thing that made me stop playing Digimon World Re:Digitize. I came so far but before I could even reach the boss I needed to reach with my fully digivolved Digimon, it kept dying... I think it was at BanchoLeomon. My Rosemon always died right outside the damn door to the boss battle and I just rage quit because the lower-tier Digivolutions would just lose... The game was a lot more of a hassle than it was fun... Training Digimon for the desired digivolutions only to see them die 2~3 in-game days later. Knowing that this is a main mechanic in Next Order... I'll pass and wait for the next Digimon Story entry. If they'd replace the dying mechanic with the same mechanic Digimon Story has, as in having to devolve your Digimon to, idk, maybe level 1 rookie to make them stronger, I'd be all for it. I play a game to have fun, not to get frustrated every time my Digimon dies, lol.

@@gohanossjz391 poor genes I guess. You can train 100% better by battling other digimon. Boost 4-5 stats a battle and no in game time. As soon as the boost starts to go, move on to a place with stronger digimon. You'll have champions with 5-6k

Most digimon for their mega level needs on average 2000 in all requirements , but HP/MP that are 20 000. Not all requirements are needed to all megas. I try to train your digimon to Ultimate with 1000 at all categories, than go to 2000. When these criteria are met, I can go farm in the world (some digimon need fighting for victory and bonds) The main focus on your tamer skills should be EGG inheritance, because that will make every new generation stronger than the previous, making more likely that you get a mega before you die... Train: everyday of the week there is a bonus that you can discover by looking at the moon icon. Some foods like the ones that Togemon/Kuwagamon give you daily increase 2 atributes (so try to overlap it with the daily bonus). Meat icon. When you train for various hours straight, you get a time bouns (clock). When a digimon is at a lower level than the other it gains "growth bonus" (arrow icon) When your digimon is happy it gains mood bonus . Smile icon. The bonuses work in two ways, the first one is that it improves how much you gain in each session (not sure if diferent icons that you hit nets you to higher bonuses, but I know that each bonuns influences the outcome as my digimon grow differently from its partner). And also for each new bonus you are less likly to miss a bonus hitting an empty box. If you net all the bonus available there will be only one empty box, making it harder to miss. When you praise your digimon or scold it (usually after battling/training) the games rewards you with information about possible evolutions like "train STR/bonds/etc" There are guides for getting an expecific digimon, but I think is better not to use it unless you really want it, or maybe check only in the Ultimate->Mega, because it will be only 3 options and not 5x3x3x3=135 possibilities. When you get to a point in the game is possible to garantee what digimon you will get by the follow: 1)Dojo : Locks your digimon to a only line. 2) Buying evolution itens. About the new mini game in the gym. I do apreciate that they made it easier than what it was in Re:Digitize, and it would be complicated to have different mini games with 2 digimon training at the same time, but I do think the mini games at Re:Digitize were more entrantaining than the ones at next order, so I am on the wall in this (as you spend 80% of the game training). Ps.: about E x E (cros extra evolution) and Jogress. They are different. Any two digimon that have 100% bonds with each other and the tamer as well will E x E, for Jogress only compatible digimon can fuse, the main digimon will digivolve, de partner will go back one level and reset to 1 day.

That would be dope I loved dg2 all except the damn mazes but eventually I didn't mind them cuz it reminded me of the shinning in the darkness serious. The voice acting was cool too for the digimon. Part 3 imo has been the most solid digimon game out there even better than 4 I didn't like 4's weapon system very much. I'd put 2 & 3 as the best then part 1 and next order, then the cyber sluthe/hackers memory. Digimon survive looks interesting tho.

Oh ZeroDex you should know, in DW1 there was little tricks that caught you off guard. Numamon was a Mistake Digimon but the only way to access a secret area was to have a Numamon enter a Monzemon suit and Digivolve. You should check out DW1 battle.

I would like the game if the digimon weren't so needy. They get sick to often, and die too fast for me to get an ultimate. Late game it becomes easier, but when starting, it is difficult. I also don't have a level indicator, so I don't know how powerfull I am.

thanks alot for the video, seems like I will nnot get this after all. many of the aspets are not appealing to me. also, few of the parts you mentioned that belong to the digimon world games are not true. lifesspan never existed in digimon world 2003 or the digimon world games for the DS. also, I liked the turn based combat, and i also like the real time controlled battle. sadly, neither of those systems are in here. Digimon World was a great game, despite making me frustrated smetimes, but the battlesystem was not its strengh imo. to each their own I guess.

MJ Mag except they can inherit some of their stats when they die. So at every rebirth their base stats will get higher and it gets easier to get to the more difficult evolutions.

After playing Next Order for an Entire Month, I only wished that they had Battle Mode. They kinda have this, but it's with Tamagotchis. Which sounds cool at first, but it's literally a Tamigachi battle. You don't get to fight Your Digimon fight against the Online Opponent's Digimon.

I bought this impulsively and I just hope the death mechanic doesn't piss me off like the first game. That was literally what made me stop playing as a kid, it was just so infuriating. I'd train get strong enough to advance and my digimon would die before I could go anywhere new. I also barely ever got the digimon I wanted.

tbh I found it way easier than Digimon World 1. In that game, it was a freaking achivement to hit Ultimate, after many, many, many times dying, and being a Mega made you practically unstopable. In Digimon World Next Order, I got both to Mega in my first life, and have never failed to get them to digivolve to Mega. The annoying part, is just because your Digimon is a Mega, doesn't mean they're worth anything. If you only give them the bare minium stats to digivolve to the weakest Mega, they could still get their ass kicked off a high level Rookie. Meanwhile I been watching vids of some guy showing how to train your Digimon efficently, and his Rookies have higher stats than any of my Mega. The trick to getting your digimon stronger, is 6 things: -Accept that they're gonna die, but be reborn with higher starting stats than they previously had as a baby, then use that jump start to try and reach a stronger point before dying, and starting again. -fight digimon to level your stats, instead of using the training room. 1 hour in the training room, could give you +20 strength, but pick the right digimon, and you could get +26 in all stats, and only a second will of passed (since time pauses in battles) -Keep learning new skills. It doesn't matter if you're a mega, with 10,000 strength, if you're still using the weakest attacks. Just the same, you can be a rookie, using OP skills you learned from previous boss fights. -Decide early which digimon you're aiming to digivolve into, and learn which stats are important for them. Then decide if you can reach those points in time, or if you should aim for a easier digivolution. You won't be able to raise a Agumon to a WarGreymon on your first life, so you should aim for an easier target. Then, if you need 2k attack, but stamina is left blank, then focus on raising that stat, and ignore the ones left blank. Unless the digivolution after that needs a lot of stamina too (though obviously don't leave it at 100, just because you don't need it to digivolve) -The training room equipment can be leveled up, but to do that you need kabuterimon, to use the particular equipment enough times till it's ready to be upgraded, then a ton of bits to pay for the upgrades. If you upgrade the equipment, then you can start earning higher stats really early in the digimon's life span, instead of grinding for agges and agges, and wasting most of their time -lastly, Try to get as much done while still a rookie as possible. If you fight a champion as a rookie, you get way more stats than if you fight a champion as a champion, or higher. and some Champions are pretty weak. I was able to bully a lvl 27 Garurumon (black) for 1 in-game day over and over, and raised all my stats by 1,000 each (also, I know this comment is 3-2 years old. This is more for anyone that might read in the future)

@@Trojianmaru I mainly use the gym as a means to speed up time. In the end game I can only beat those bosses with ExE, but you can only do that once a day. So after I've beaten a boss I'll go to the gym to quickly get to the next day, so I can fight another boss.

Not every digimon world plays like this. story and world don't have set mechanics for each. the world games have gone from raising one digimon, to collecting party members, to only having set digimon, to playing as digimon, for example. plus world 2 and cyber Sleuth are quite similar in mechanics. Sorry, it just bugged me when you said the world and story series have different mechanics.

Alex Weise they fight you cheer them on and build up order power which lets you command them to do specific attacks and can toss in items to help them

don't think the AI's that smart still... when you command them to use an attack, they don't move into range, and rather use it right where they are... really annoying for if they happen to be out of MP and are constantly walking away from the enemy.

Yes, The Digimon Story Just Focus to the Story,(But, Digimon World have nice the story too like "Digimon World Re : Digitize", "Digimon World 1999" and "Digimon World 3 2003") And Digimon S. Cybersleuth gameplay was tottaly too Classic For PS3, the first appear is on Nintendo DS in 2010 "DIGIMON STORY : LOST EVOLUTION" !! Then The Original Digimon Game System, Digimon World !(I Love It!!) Maybe, only Digimon have System like this ^ . . . It have different Battle System from the other, and The Story Nice too !! was an Action RPG, First Appear in 1999 on PSX, But it was too hard for some Children/People on that era, because internet are something like too complicated for child in 1998, and without the Guide book is imposible to finish the game, maybe 3/20 people can do, Then in July 27, 2000, Digimon World 2 r coming, and Digimon Games lost the Identity !! Sure it Worst !! But on 2012 Bandai brings the good news and Launch Digimon World Re : Digitize, then Continously to Next Order in 2016 that Connected with Digimon World 1999.
