Karma really reminds me of the alignment system from the Shin Megami Series. Also makes sense considering the artists have worked on both.

@@platipete It's actually a reference to Digimon Tamers. In the fictional card game within that series, the attributes of Digimon were color-coded- Vaccine-type Digimon's cards were red (like Moral), Data-type Digimon's cards were green (like Harmony) and Virus-type Digimon's cards were yellow (like Wrathful). Basically, the colours represent the types of DIgimon the specific karma type is attached to.

Vaccine type has always been red, but I agree that that’s confusing when it translates over to a morality system! The virus path is most likely just blue Greymon -> Skullgreymon

Folks have already figured out the Virus route is going to be Tuskmon from the images of agumons evo branches. He is the only mon that fits with the silhouette.

I won't be going for any one specific route, just making choices honestly and as true to my own moral compass as possible. Although when playing an SMT title, I do usually end up leaning towards the neutral route in the end so that may also be the case here.

Interesting fact: Wrath might not be evil just look at Tactics Ogre on the psp you have 12 endings and 3 alignment paths Lawful, Neutral and Chaotic and the best ending, the ultimate good ending you have to take the Chaotic alignment. Wrath could be similar to Tactics Ogre Chaos route you never know

See, thats what I mean by it likely not being so black and white. Wrath implies passion and anger, which are negative traits...but what causes the wrath? Is it justifiable in some manner? Its one of those 'human' aspects I'm really excited to see.

Its more likely comparable to SMT where none of the three routes are an entirely good route. Morals can be pushed to extremes, Wrath is self explanatory. In SMT, even the Neutral(in this case Harmony) route only pushes the problem to the future. The only good route will be the secret route.

I’m aiming for the Good Ending as much as possible as I don’t want to lose anyone but that is interesting Tyrannomon being the good route kind of makes sense as he was the og mascot but I expected him to be the virus route as he’s a potential champion for a Machinedramon’s line

I hope they have an NG+ similiar to an old game called Witchs Tale. Where a NG+ carries over all your stuff and suddenly halfway through the game, the story completely sidetracks itself by an antagonist appearing much earlier than before, following by the entire second half being basically a different story altogether, while neatly tying up and exploring a lot of loose ends left by the first playthrough. Of course that would require a clear indication of "here is the true ending route" and "go here for one of the other 3 routes".

Takuma will be the only one with three separate lines. The others will get branched Mega Evolutions.

I honestly feel like harmony should be vaccine type... Tyranomon says hes doing his best, while greymon that he will protect your friends. Harmony is usually the care for friends and their safety choice, while moral is trying your best, as sometimes its just downright dumb....

I think that “Wrath” would refer to more aggressive and violent options and “Harmony” would be more peaceful and non-violent options (think pulling a Naruto talk-no-jutsu)

The colour choice represents the colour of the digimon types so virus is yellow, vaccine red and data green although I believe some games data is blue.

It seems like Karma affects which Digimon you get and that in turn affects which ending you get. It seems like it should have more than four endings, considering the amount of characters.

@@platipete So far wild Digimon branch at Champion and Gazimon, Biyomon, Betamon and Gottsumon all have 3 champion forms. Kunemon and Guilmon are the only Digimon I've seen with no branching evolutions as of early Chapter 2.
