I gotta agree, if this was any other digimon deck that wasn't sec con would be a fair fight. All pete had to do is just recover and hope and thats what it happened. Imagine losing to a ruling like this.

6:12 why didn’t the Levia player play a digimon with Drago effect after deleting the pillowmon? It still triggered when pillowmon was played so could activate after LeviaX deleted it.

The levia player definitely made a huge misplay at 19:48. Heplscythe plays a level 5 and the dragomon was supposed to trigger to play one as well

When digivolving and when attacking effects are only prevented by venusmon’s [Opponent’s Turn] effect. So by using the option effect in trash to remove venus, he could then activate the when digivolving effect, even though he still had a sec attack -1 application

For me the true winner is Frozen, sec con is a cheap anti competitive strategy IMO

Sec con is an anti-meta kinda deck imo. Really good into some matchups and metas, folds pretty consistently to others. In my experience, sec con folds to wide, sticky boards for example since the majority of sec con's removal is 1 for 1 cards with high costs. The only real, consistent answer sec con has to wide sticky boards is death x, which certainly isn't a card unique to sec con. Based on this video, it seemed like the matchup was fairly close and could have gone either way if they could have played out game 3 (though it sounds like the leviamon player may have bricked a little game 3 ). I don't see how sec con is anti competitive.

​@@LinneaOfCardboardi believe it more that the sec con deck had poor skill expression. Decent deck, but yr win or lose depend on yr opponent more than the pilot skill display. Game 1, frozen won cause he played well Game 2, frozen lost cause he misplayed. No matter how well pete played, the ball not on his court. I hope sec con players stay, then player base get better and get higher win rate over sec con. That when u know player base get better
