I think some commenter under your comment are not aware of dragon fruit. Dragon fruit is another name for a fruit known as pitaya or pitahaya, a tropical fruit. Pitaya, or Pitahaya, is a name from Central America, but Southeast Asians called it dragon fruit. Look it up; this Digimon is exactly a Digimon version of it, albeit with a bird aesthetic.

Sure would be cool if Entmon had a Mega too. Logically, Pinocchimon or AncientTrojamon make the most sense, but even GrandKuwagamon wouldn’t be too crazy, given Entmon’s very similar body plan and connection to insects.

It can digivolve into AncientTroiamon and Xuanwumon (the Genbu equivalent in the 4 holy beasts group). Also thanks to the card game it can digivolve into GranKuwagamon, GrandisKuwagamon, Pinocchimon and Hydramon (to name a few). So you may have a point there. .P.S.: I've always been fond of the Entmon -> Hydramon transtion.

I think the other obvious inspiration for Hydramon is the greek/roman mythology creature, the Hydra! The one that has multiple dragon heads. What a great combo of that and the venus flytrap :D
