Personally, I think it's really cool. While he is potentially dangerous if he's not careful or grows careless, it also means he has the potential to become a powerful warrior of good. In a way, it's resemblant of some people in the real world who have the potential for bad just as much as they have the potential for good, and what they choose is entirely dependent on those around them and their environment.

I adored that choice in Tamers. While it makes sense that a Digimon's traits would mature with evolution, in the first two seasons, it sometimes felt like different characters were replacing the kid's partner Mon (Most egregious with Patamon and Angemon). Keeping the voice unchanged does a lot to sell that evolutions are still the same character, just in a different form.

This line makes me have so many questions about how it came to be lore wise. I mean Guilmon was created by outside influence and yet he digivolves into a royal knight, one of the four great dragons which also is the digimon Chaos Dukemo, and has a digimon line that is stated to be his true form.

I just assume things are in different universes. Takato creating guilmon is only a Tamers thing. Adventure is in a different universe than Tamers, so guilmon must just exist there

Multiple universes. The Royal Knights don't exist in the Tamers universe, where Takatomon made Guilmon. In any other timeline, (game or season) Guilmon is a natural digimon that has a history in the digital world leading to Dukemons status.

Nice vid! Just a note that Growmon isn't pronounced like grow+Mon, the Japanese name is グラウモン (guraumon) so the "grow" pronounced like growl in English without the final l, not "grow" as in a plant growing for example. Sorry if this has already been commented on!

Guilmon was such a breakout starmon, they had to upgrade agumon into basically an edgier form of his evolution line and keep up, but to me they failed because guilmons line will always be cooler and more epic than agumons.

about chaos dukemon....his shield name is gorgon and i read in some korean novels (so i dont know if accurate) that the shield aegis fromn arthena has the head of an gorgon implanted on it. So maybe since the lance is just a different name for the same thing this was also the meaning behind the shields name.

His Legacy overshines and tries to mimic the Mysterious MedievalGallantmon, but to suit his own theme, performs in a Superheroic way; and Stopping even some of the most vicious of Dangerous Digimon. GlidedGallantmon is hailed as the perfect Gatekeeper of protecting the Royal Knights. To Explain his Over-the-top behaviour, he had gotten them for being Best Friends with Justimon and being Close Friends with PrinceMamemon. Some of GlidedGallantmon's Attacks are: Glided Joust: A Move that Mimics a more powerful Lightning Joust, Blessed with Golden, Holy Energy, This blow is so powerful that it can pierce through even some of the toughest Chrome Digizoit possible. Megalogrowmon (Orange) can actually digivolve into Medievaldukemon, which is kinda fitting since they're both data attribute. The only thing it's actually lacking to have a "proper" dedicated digivolution line (so to speak) is a child form, as there's no "orange" Guilmon yet (the closest there is to that is... Patamon, who's orange, data attribute and can digivolve into Growmon (Orange)).

I would also imagine that it is also because Dukemon/Gallentmon is a walking contradiction being a fully realized virus which they are supposed to crush without hesitation, yet his holy powers are on par if not higher than most of the other holy knights. Kind of like how many virus scanners will panic at some custom software because it has arbitrary executors.

@@sofaris576 pretty much but as shown the anime their are times when digimon and human characters crossover to other series ie the character that had cyberdramon in tamer is actually from the adventures timeline or crossover to adventures and cyberdramon being what left over of millinuimmon Omnimon and the leftover of apoclamon from adventures crossed to tamers in battle of adventures All the main characters of previous digimon season crossover in the digimon hunters during the final battle There also a few other examples but for the most part they are their own story Think of it as a multiverse

I just hope one day Bandai will re-release Pendulum X that has Guilmon X where it can evolve to Medieval Dukemon. I am confuse why Bandai put Dracomon X in Digimon X V1 Blue, while they also insert Growmon X, Megalogrowmon X, Megidramon X and Dukemon X inside it. While for Digimon X 3 Yellow, they did put Dorumon, Dorugamon, Doruguremon, Alphamon & Alphamon Ouryuken inside it. This seem not very fair for Guilmon X.
