I loved the theory that in 02, we actually were rather close to seeing not just 1 demon lord but 4, because the Daemon corps which consists of Marinedevimon, Skullsatamon and Ladydevimon, all 3 of them are actually one level away from becoming 3 demon lords i.e Leviamon, Barbamon and lilithmon

Thinking about it, Leviamon is the only Demon Lord that was once (from the start) depicted as a being a good Digimon. In Xros Wars a Leviamon was part of a "chivalric order" with the duty to protect the Digital World. There's a good Beelzemon in Xros Wars too, but I don't think it counts since his profile don't referred him as a one of the Seven Great Demon Lord.

Actually there's a explanation for that: In the Xros Wars universe, evolution is extremely rare to occur. Most of the Digimon we see in Xros Wars already born in that form, there's even a scene that appears a "baby" Karatenmon, that's supposed to be a perfect Digimon. So doesn't matter what Digimon you are, your strength will come for your life experience, DigiXros is used to be a shortcut to gain more power in this world, since evolution is so rare. The problem is that they never addresses this in the anime, and this information is in official material released only in japan.

Leviamon seems to hate when other demon digimon try to surpass it and doesn't do anything evil. If anything it keeps Lucemon from breaking out of their prison because it would be a threat. Also while Leviamon is a demon it doesn't seem like a fallen angle, it doesn't evolve from a any corrupted good digimon. MarineDevimon while sharing the "devi" part with Divimon is more of an evil beast giving humanoid form and WaruSeadramon is the closest to a fallen digimon, its basically a neutral dragon turned evil instead of a good angle and it did it for survival in a harsh inviroment. If anything Leviamon just wants to rule the dark aria.

Daemon and Lucemon are my favorites, what I love about Daemon is that first and foremost the V Tamers Manga absolute masterpiece and UlforceVeedramon is my all time favorite Digimon and Daemon to be his ultimate rival in and out of V Tamers it seems I also love how both UlforceVeedramon and Daemon are both able to reach the Super Ultimate Lvl but rest assure UlforceVeedramon is the one and only Royal Knight that can defeat Daemon at his most powerful these 2 Titans cement the most iconic and underrated Rivalry in Digimon and I also love Daemon’s appearance in Adventure 02 where he is practically toying with the Digidestines at their best and you know he is when he is in his Mantled Form. Now Lucemon I like because of his design in Chaos Mode amazing easily the best designed Digimon period and his Lore more importantly being that his rebellion started a great period of Darkness and War that eventually he was sent to the Dark Area, being fond of the Occult I see the symbolism he represents the As Above So Below and other Luciferian inspired Lore to his character as well as being the Leader of this Faction he is also ridiculously OP in his Rookie stage he is said to be stronger than most Ultimate Digimon and when he is Chaos Mode which is the Ultimate Stage he is already easily above and able to Overpower most Mega lvl Digimon very few can topple him likely if your a Top Tier Royal Knight or Olympus XII then you got his ShadowLord Mode in where he is probably one of the most powerful beings in Digimon Lore period also as much as I didn’t fancy Frontier the final battle with Lucemon was brilliant probably the only reason I’d watch Frontier is for those last few Eps. It happens to be that Daemon and Lucemon are the most Powerful in this Faction if you count Daemon Super Ultimate and Lucemon ShadowLord Mode.

Leviamon could be given a form where he could shrink his size to a more humanoid size. He may look smaller after the form change, but stronger because the data has been compressed. Because of his large size, he was underused in anime.

@@CadeNg that wasn’t the only thing they butchered. They turned Haunglongmon (sorry if I butchered his name 😅) into a literal horse to be used for Dorbickmon. I know he had some “authority” in Bagra’s army if you will but the they hugely undermined his true power. Even to this day I’d say Haunglonmon is among the top ten strongest Digimon ever made. You could make more examples but this is the greatest to me as how they butchered the evolution system. I don’t think the xros wars season is as bad as many make it out to be bad it’s definitely the black cheek among the rest and it’s definitely the worst.

If I recall, it's been confirmed in Cyber Sleuth that the Demon Lords are multiversal beings similar to True Darkseid from DC comics. This is because they represent the very sin itself, and thus exist everywhere. Every Demon Lord we encounter across the Digimon series are merely avatars of the Demon Lord that remains sealed within the Dark Area, Cocytus. Along with that, the Demon Lords' powers are actually divided evenly to each avatar. If you should destroy the Demon Lord of one world, you only end up making the other avatars of that Demon Lord stronger as a result.

The problem is, Cherubimon has a child-like innocence, and can easily become corrupted and influenced by dark forces. He’s like Anakin from Star Wars in that you have to watch him carefully. Seraphimon and Ophanimon should have from the Digimon Frontier series should have been wary of him.

To be fair, the three angels are so close to the will of God that they all have a easy way to become fallen angels which is why 2 of the 3 have 2 dark forms a great Demon Lord and a fallen angel. The only one Cherubimon only has his evil form, it's unknown if a Cherubimon become any of the remaining great Demon Lords

@@shadowdragon986 It has everything to do with plot! Lilithmon? Lust is obviously fitting, even if just for design reasons. Daemon fits wrath, as he becomes a mindless berserker. Lucemon and pride were made for each other, Beelphemon SM and sloth was a low hanging fruit and Barbamon and greed are fitting, too. I think plot and sin go together with these, as they behave or have an appearance based on their sin. But then we have Beelzebumon and Leviamon, who just don't strike me as "Yeah, makes sense", because what in the fuck screamed "Envy" about Leviamon? Sorry if I missed something, but the only thing I gathered form reading up on it, is that it sleeps on the bottom of the ocean and eats everything with these gigantic jaws. Yeah, so already sloth and gluttony seem better. But wait, Beelzebumon in the show acts extremely envious, because it dislikes other digimon being stronger, iirc! Hm, so the guy who is envy and the other one who is gluttony, although that one could also fit, would basically be better off just having their names swapped based on what I found. Yes, I know they got the sin because of their name, but the other way around would be better in this case. So, how does this not have anything to do with plot? Because 5/7 have plot fitting their sin, the sixth kinda, maybe, but number seven could literally swap their name with someone and make more sense! Nothing to do with plot and lore at all, and if you're right about this then sorry, but in that case though the argument is right, the fact that it was designed that way was a bloody mistake

@@Raidon484 It's said Beelzebumon has a big necessity to fight strong digimon to absorb their digicores, maybe you are thinking in Impmon's arc in Tamers but that doesn't apply to Beelzebumon who just fights for the sake the fight itself. Leviamon's profile especially states that if it is awaken he would despise any digimon at the top and then would swallows them.

from i recall GranDracomon is the king of all vampire digimons and is super ancient immortal vampire digimon that been in the dark area for long time including he predates the 7 great demon lords/ the Angel rebellion event. he is ridiculously OP as hell in digimon games stories. with latest digimon REarise mobile story that was shutdown GranDracomon created the main villain of that story just because he was bored and wanted entertainment.

Leviamon's goal isn't to eat, they were just trying to give a sense of how big it is. Leviamon is focused on being the strongest, and becomes jealous of Digimon that is stronger than it. You are referring to Impmon not Beelzebumon. Gluttony does not just mean for food. Beelzebumon is a glutton for power, and it devoured the data of Digimon it slain in order to become even more powerful.
