I bought the wrong thing :( I'm using the iPad that has to connect to a computer. Itll be better with a less sensitive pen. Now I'm stuck with a pen that stops drawing if I brush my finger at the wrong place 😭

I've been mobile artist for nearly 4 years (since 2019).. At first, I used cheap stylus but now I use my own finger.. Because of that, I can able to do art commissions since the pandemic (and I lost my job).. I used two apps for working on art.. Layer Paint HD is my main drawing app and Adobe Photoshop Express for coloring corrections and adding some filters.. I honestly do enjoy the line art while working on art.. The lines are very flowy and accurate.. and btw, I use only the affordable Samsung Galaxy devices.. Samsung J4 Plus (2019-2021) and Samsung Galaxy A12 (2021-present)..

I'm a phone artist and have been since 2017!! I mainly use Ibis Paint, and it has NEVER failed me. I actually make my webcomic series there, and I couldn't recommend it anymore to anyone else who wants to draw digitally. The only thing is watching ads to get the unlimited features, but other than that it's a great app!!

Aw! Reminds me of how I got started in digital art, with a little iPod Touch 4th Gen that was my only “computer” at the time. It had a screen about the size of a business card. Now I primarily use Procreate on an iPad with an Apple Pencil but still sometimes do quick color studies on my iPhone 11 using Procreate Pocket. If you already own a smart phone, it can be a cost effective way to get started in digital art, and with some patience, it’s even possible to produce finished work if you want to. Edit: When it comes to styli options for phones without pressure sensitivity, I’ve been surprised to find I most like the ones with the disc-shaped rubber base. Because the rubber is clear, I find it becomes easier for me to be precise with my lines than with a standard “bubble” shaped stylus tip.

CSP on phones is the sole reason I own a Galaxy Note lol. I don't mainly draw on it (I already have a Galaxy Tab) but its such a nice little thing to have when you want to quickly sketch or adjust your artworks in a pinch! Plus the cloud feature is a lifesaver for syncing your drawing files~

I started digital with my phone and my fingers, I then got my ipad, broke my phone, and still used my fingers, and I use my phone from time to time, I'm quite happy with my art on here and on my ipad. I have one of those pens where it isn't actually a stylus but the back of it can be used as one, coz it's like silicone I think, it probably has no pressure sensitivity, but I'm happy with it

I love CSP on the phone, ended up buying a case that had a S pen holder with it so i could carry it with my phone for sketching everywhere. I love it! Very cool to see this getting some attention! thanks for sharing!

I'm an artist, I consider myself a professional. I use nothing but a phone, ibis paint x, and I like it that way. I have bad motor skills, can't tell left and right, it makes it difficult to use pens. My thumbs are hypermobile (double jointed) and can twist and turn in "unnatural" ways Therefore, I fair better on mobile. I even animate! If anyone wants to see the product of an animation I've worked on, using nothing but a phone (ibis paint x + capcut), I'll gladly show you once it's done!

I started digital art using my phone 11 years ago with a low end phone and a basic drawing app. Since then I've learned a lot and used several drawing apps as I go. The best app for me so far was ibispaint x. It was only lately when I got myself a tablet and able to use clip studio paint. Now I am curious if I could actually use csp on my phone as well. I do wonder if the purchase is sharable on both my devices? If not, maybe I'll just give it a try

im glad you tried mobile! i absolutely *hate* when digital artists hate on mobile art just because they think nothing is available and they never even give it a try. hating on artists just for a different sort of medium w/o trying it is silly. mobile apps have everything needed, its just a bit difficult, and as long as youre a good artist, mobile is fine! i used to draw on my phone because it was all i had for digital art. then i got a tablet for my laptop, but the screen's colors looked different when on my phone, so i stopped that. currently i have an ipad, and its more comfortable to use than a phone considering theyre so small lol

I've been drawing digital art on my phone for a while now (since I was about 14, I'm 20 now), and as weird as this may sound, I'm not really good at drawing digital art with a stylus OR on a tablet. Trust me, I've used a drawing tablet at my college before (they have drawing tablets with styluses in my college). It felt so foreign to me because I'm just so used to drawing on my phone with my middle finger 😅 maybe I'll master the art of the drawing tablet someday? Idk lol. 🙃

I've downloaded Clip Studio Paint and Ibis Paint. I bought the CSP and started to try it (they are offering 3 months free). I'm feeling it harder then Ibis Paint. But my purchase of Ibis Paint strangely are not being finished. Anyway, I need to work and make some money because my notebook is not working anymore... And I was using Affinity Designer in it. But now it's time to try the Smartphones vibes hehe Thank you for the video! Do you have any tips of videos with CSP about CMYK and Vectors?

If you just need to use Clip Studio Paint on your smartphone in Companion Mode, then it's completely free. IF you want to ALSO draw on your phone, it costs $0.99 a month - but in Companion Mode it is free. It's the same app though. And you can get it for both Android AND iPhone - just search for it at the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone). Download the app, and set it up in companion mode like I showed in this video, and it's totally free. I hope this helped, otherwise feel free to reach out again.

You could start with a trial and see if you like it (^-^) I still sometimes use Procreate - especially when I'm just doodling while watching TV or something. But 90% of the time I use CSP because I need a lot of the tools it has :3 Like for comics and stuff!
