Vincent, thanks for your review of Express Digital. I have been using it for over two years and I have to agree it is the best event software out today. BTW when you have a failure to detect the camera, go to the setup tab click capture and there is a button there that will detect the camera without rebooting the software.

Would you consider making a video showing the capabilities of the software doing events? I'm trying to make sure this is the right software for me, but I haven't been able to find a decent video showing its actual use during a "live" or simulated "live" event. I'd like to see the process from when a guest walks up to the screen, you take the photo, and then edit/print it with a border. Specifically Darkroom CORE or Darkroom PRO, not booth. I want to be the one taking the pictures.

Good overview. We switched from LR to Core and agree with all of your comments as to the advantages.

Vincent, thanks for your detailed review. Can you show us any behind the scenes images from your event, and share with us your hardware setup - computer grunt, the printer (was it a DS40?), your strobes (model and the power setting you used) and perhaps your focal length that you used?

I found the information about the software very helpful. I've been doing what I call shoot and print onsite. The problem has been the clients and the volume has increased a good thing for business. I need the speed to be in sync with the quality of the DNP printers and the Canon 5d IV. I purchased the software wish me luck and thanks for the info.

Hey Joseph, How did it go with the software? - I just ordered a new DNP printer, my old laptop is too slow, getting a new one this week , that plus the software/harwdare i'm already past 2K. It's a large investment, but it will paid off eventually. - Good luck on your future jobs!

I would love to hear about what settings you did for this to get it to auto print. I can't get mine to auto print.

What printer do you use for printing the photos?

Thank you Vincent for calling me back. I finally got the DNP printer to do the 8x10s for the MCAS Ball. My question is can I tether to a laptop when I take the photo then the second computer for the guest to see and order photo packages. I would like to keep shooting and have Marines come to second computer to select there photo. There expecting 800 guest. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hey Gene, DNP has a snap lab solution, basically is an order station with a builtin computer, you can shoot directly to the HD and guests can browse recent photos and place and order (send to print) right from the station, the Snap Lab itself it's around $1300, plus the printer plus the media, but it's an all in one solution for a one man band.

Do you have an opinion regarding the optional dongle?
