@@brooklynwinter265 sorry i'm just seeing this!!! but yes kinda the same than venushka actually! i practice on a daily basis (with some pauses here and there but mostfly everyday) for at least 30min, sometimes i go up to an hour or two when i really enjoy what i'm learning! i use duolingo for the basics but i always watch videos, read lessons on different websites to gain a better understanding of what i study. the main thing to remember though is that you have to go at your own pace, you don't have to feel bad for skipping days or stumbling on hard stuff! like for example if you feel that you have some trouble on a specific subject, don't try hard, just do something else, rest a bit and you'll eventually come back to it later! also, i don't know what is your main language but i would recommend you to learn from english. i'm french and i started learning from french, but english has some subtleties that korean has but french doen't (for example, english separates speak, talk and converse, french doesn't that much). sorry i typed a lot! it might be a bit too heavy.. but i hope i made my point clear and that it will help you in your learning!

I actually am very curious about a couple of questions because I'm learning korean too. I really wish you can answer these. ❤️ 1) How old are you and where you're from (I'm just asking this one because you sound exactly like a native speaker) 2) What are you studying? Like your subject/field ( I'm asking this because you seem to be learning a lot of languages which I find so attractive) 3) How do you manage College, KZbin, as well as learning different languages simultaneously?( I'm asking this because I usually have a really hard time and I almost can't seem to find a way for balancing everything) 4) How long did it take for you to learn korean? (Actually I'm very keen on trying out moving to Korea for studying but there isn't much time left for me to decide if I can actually go there because i don't know if I can complete learning the the language in time) Also, your videos are osm and your voice is amazing too. The way you explain is quite nice. I love your videos. ❤️❤️

Hi Rhea! I’m curious about how do you deal with Korean words that feel so differently when written and spoken. Whenever I try to learn words with complex 받침 or when they have to be spoken differently, I feel like I have to memorize these words twice (in spoken and in written forms). Would you please tell us about your approach on this? Thank you so much.
@rhea_irl3 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't really remember ever separately dealing with 받침, rather it was more of like, as I studied, the irregular pronounciations kind of just got stuck in my head? If that makes sense? I'm so sorry, I wish I could give a better explanation but my brain is slow :(( maybe I'll think more in depth and try to make a video about it someday !
@sesame.lettuce3 жыл бұрын
@@rhea_irl Thank you so much for your reply! I think I worded my question wrong. I mean, for example 흙 , when I try to memorize that I have to type / write that word a lot, but then when I use it on a sentence for example 흙이 it’s hard for me to think about 흙 + 이 and pronounce them as “흘기” now. It’s like my brain refuses to conjugate pronunciation automatically even though I know the rules of how to pronounce them. 😂
@lightweaver67342 жыл бұрын
@@sesame.lettuce I think it's all just about getting used to the language, cannot talk about Korean since I only know Hangul and a few words, but in English, the pronunciation rules makes little to no sense, but we are still able to write and pronounce them correctly. As a person whose first language isn't English (if it wasn't obvious for some of the grammar mistakes I might make) I don't remember having problems thinking: "Oh this is how you should do this" "this is how you pronounce this if it's with this letter..." That's because I consumed a lot of content in English, read a lot of books in English, a lot of articles... So at the end of the day, you learn without the need of thinking about the rules, as it comes out naturally!
