@@grghostrider84 you can annotate right on the test itself with a highlighting feature but it is kind of annoying to use. I’m not sure if they will allow you to use scrap paper for this reason, but I’ll look into it!

Thank you so much for the video! Today I did practice test 4 and I didn’t understand why my score was below the other ones, even though I got more correct answers. On the first English module I got 18/27 and on the second one I got 27/27. On the other hand, I got 21/22 and 17/22 on Math. I scored 1270, it was so strange. I guess I have to improve on the first module…

Got 2 questions wrong on the "hard" section of test 2 and it gave me a 740. The curve is crazy.

@@StrategicTestPrep English. For math I got 2 wrong on the hard section and still got an 800. Also I find the practice tests kind of, well, sloppy I guess? The first section of English is so tech/science heavy while the second section is quite the opposite. I remember one of the sections tests the same grammar knowledge (apposition like the scientist XYZ) in two separate questions, which I believe the real test would not be stupid enough to include.

If I am bad on the Math section and I only do the minimum which is 200 (I think) or the minimum of 200 + 100-150 which would lead to 300-350 on the Math part, do I still have some chances to get a total of 1100? I think the college I want to go to would allow me with that SAT score. Especially since they accept international students often. Hello I took official Bluebook digital SAT Test. I took practice test NO.2 and got 30 wrong totally. And I got 1320. However I took NO.3 Test and got 1280 even though I got two more right questions. ( 28 wrong totally) Do you think it is affected by algorithm? I am really scared about that.

It works roughly the same way in math. Make sure to get less than 10 questions wrong in module 1. Every test is slightly different but the general rules apply

Keep in mind that theres 2 unscored questions in each module (8 total for whole test) meaning your 800 with 1 wrong on module 1 could be that you picked an unscored question to get wrong.

Based on what you said, it sounds like questions are not so much weighted by difficulty, whereas I had thought that they were now. Does this mean that students should still focus on getting more questions right, regardless of difficulty, than on getting more of the "hard" questions right?

Hi! No I do think they are weighted by difficulty, as module 2 is deemed more difficult and the algorithm tests showed a student would lose more points on a module 2 question (~30) vs module 1 (~10)

@@StrategicTestPrep Right - I had seen that module 2 is weighted more heavily, based on your analysis. Do you think, though, that questions within a module are weighted differently? So, could a student focus more time on just transitions and grammar, if those were more straightforward for them, and skip some graph or other higher level reading questions, and still get the same score/access to the harder second module as they would if they spent their time on the "harder" questions? Just thinking about how to help students strategize, since it used to be that they just needed as many questions right as possible. Thanks for any insights you may have!

You won’t know until you get your score back but based on the questions they feed you in the second section of the English and the second section of the math you should be able to tell if you got an easier or harder one
