Well, this may not work for everyone but I solve grammer, transition and note taking questions faster so, as soon as i finish first vocab ques i go to question where grammer questions start and finish them first. it makes me feel more relaxed during the test since i finished a couple of questions and have rest of the time for reading/paragraph ques

For the graph questions, I'd add reading the first line too. Laura would've saved some time by just reading that first line and everything's a lot clearer.

I am honestly more struggling with math 🤧. Some of the stuff I haven’t looked at for years and didn’t need to use in a while so I feel like “a refesher” or “math bootcamp”, breaking down all of the things needed could be really helpful! The graph + paragraph (and long paragraphs in general) is a killer!! Thing is I can do shorter questions a lot faster but when I get stuck on a long question it really gets to me and because of time pressure I can easily bomb all the questions following that. At this point I just mark all the questions that I know I cannot find the answer immediately and come back to them later. But honestly idk if this is a good idea anymore cause I understand with the new digital SAT different questions are weighted differently (correct me if I’m wrong), so what if in the end I don’t even have time to come back to all the longer questions that are worth alot? That would be tragic. But then again this has been working for me for time management (and bad time management induced stress) so idk, but you can try it (I don’t want to give bad advice to anybody lol). Btw, did my practice test 2 and I got a 1470 (690 | 780)! Reviewing the English section, most of my mistakes seem to be from carelessness or brain freeze in time pressure. And then of course there’s the pesky vocab questions, and then I learnt a new thing called “subject modifier agreement” which I have never heard of… but I really improved on my grammar / punctuation which I was really happy about! Hoping for a 1500+ by the end of practice test 4 and (more importantly) in my March test :) good luck all!

Using the annotation tool is your #1 tip? You spent 10-20 seconds just highlighting and typing something that you could have done in your head. You're absolutely highlighting the right part but you're telling people to waste time typing it instead of just understanding it. The idea is to look at findings and automatically associate that with found, read the first part / last part of each paragraph because that's always what you read, and BAM you got your answer. You are literally telling people to waste time typing out their thoughts and dragging their mouse instead of just answering the question. Incredible.

Hi Andrew - I still finish both sections with 10-15 minutes to spare. It’s ok to do it in your head too but you have to put in perspective I am making a KZbin video and need to highlight to show them where the key words are at.

@@StrategicTestPrep I see what you mean, for the record I wasn't trying to come off as combative or harsh (although rereading the original comment it did come off that way), I was just surprised because the video was about time saving tips and it didn't seem to make sense to me. I definitely understand using the tool for illustrative purposes, but then it might be good to explain that people should use it to practice that reading strategy and not actually do that during the test because it slows you down. You and I as native speakers can use it and still have plenty of time left. But many people here are ESL and don't have that luxury. And for the record I've aced English multiple times, but I suck at math so I probably won't get past 1550. That's why I pay other people to teach math. I've been preparing students for years with positive results. I often recommend videos like these for students to get other perspectives, which is why I wanted to give you some feedback. Hope your students do well on the test this weekend.

@@steelerfaninperu I see! I thought you were a student - I didn’t realize you were a tutor☺️Thank you for responding and clarifying. I also think what you said makes sense. I am finding so far with my work with others on this new test is that it really depends on the student and it’s important to customize the strategies based on their needs. I do math - it sounds like you have tutors already - but if you ever need to refer someone out, I’d be happy to take them

@@steelerfaninperu That's so true. We literally have just 53sec per question. Firstly, time management needs lots and lots of practice to achieve. Secondly, If you try to skip question text or not read it carefully, it just blogs the mind as if you have understood nothing..... This is such a mess especially when you have huge text included in the answer options too......😢
