I'm not going to watch any SAT tutor solving SAT questions after when those tests are released in February. I don't want the test to be spoiled when I am about to take them. Most SAT tutors, except settele tutoring, don't indicate if the question they are solving are from bluebook P test or not, spoiling your future practice tests. I am taking my test in May.
@StrategicTestPrep7 күн бұрын
Hi -- Thanks for sharing. I would actually argue that learning how to do a problem and then seeing it show up on a BlueBook test is a good thing. It will challenge you to be able to recall it and remember how to do it. Then, if the same type of question shows up on your test, you will be ready. Isn't that the whole point of a practice test?
@gnkgaming63637 күн бұрын
@@StrategicTestPrep Reasonable enough though, but you see we are not all equal on earth. As a tutor, I hope you have encountered a student who can sometimes forget how a tutor thought how to solve some problem, but would never forget the answer attained? Can we account for this? I might see questions in the practice test I forgot how to solve;however, since I'm that kind who never forgets answers, I get that question right, influencing my score in the end.
@gnkgaming63637 күн бұрын
So basically, we all should be treated equally. I have to used other resources to prep, get to know how questions are done, understand basic principles, and then take a pratice test to try my ability to solve new question types, which will be the case for the actual test day, I haven't seen before.
@StrategicTestPrep6 күн бұрын
@@gnkgaming6363 well then you should just know your score is inflated because you memorized answers and don't know how to do the problem.
@StrategicTestPrep6 күн бұрын
@@gnkgaming6363 but there's no point in not learning how to do the problem to not "spoil" a practice test. The point is to learn how to do them and then apply what you're' learning for the big day. You're focused on the practice test results too much when you need to be focused on the only result that matters: your actual test score.

Hi! Is the workbook giveaway still active? I have signed up for emails but didn’t receive any follow ups
@lawrencewilson83215 күн бұрын
Actually, if you read the answer given by the College Board it isn't that complicated. They're just saying that the discriminant has to be zero if there is one real solution. I think setting the discriminant equal to zero and solving for a is much quicker and easier than what you're suggesting. Plus knowing how the discriminant relates to zeroes of a quadratic equation can help with other types of these questions on the SAT. Your method doesn't.

In that last question, feels like answer is rather B. Because paragraph said because of sediment influx in these streams sorting effect is not seen, which typically does without sediment influx. And in option B, there said streams contain sths not typical, so no sorting effect where without that sths it will be as typical and sorting effect will be seen.Its like paragraph said, sorting effect = typical, answer = sths in these steams made it not typical so no sorting effect, so again sorting effect= typical. Like please make me understand, if i am getting wrong.
