I bought the 15 Plus in Nov ‘23 and it works like a champ. Battery health is still at 100% and the battery life is the best I’ve experienced with a smartphone. There’s no way you should “upgrade” to the 16 Plus if you have the 15 Plus. Excellent video mate.

I have the 15 plus. I am very happy with it. Amazing battery life, and I actually actively use the mute switch. The action button just won't fit my needs anyway because I often visually glance at it to see if my phone is muted or not. Before my battery life needs changed, I was an SE user, because I was holding onto the home button and touch ID. I still miss it. But now I'm going to hold onto the mute switch as long as I can. I also have no interest in Apple Intelligence. Some of the features seem somewhat useful but I honestly don't really trust AI to get things right yet. Not with all the hallucinations AI still has these days. I personally believe it's far too soon for that to be mainstream. I think the 15 plus is the perfect phone from the entire iPhone lineup past and present, given the options. Right now, the things important to me are USB C (ruling out anything prior to the 15 series), the mute switch (ruling out the 15 Pro models and all 16s), and battery life (ruling out the smaller 15). I'm sure it's different for everyone, but for me, there's nothing better than the 15. Maybe once Apple Intelligence actually launches, has feedback from the public, and evolves over time, I'll give it a shot, and spend my money on a new phone. It won't be this year though, and likely won't be next year either. The 15 plus is a fantastic phone and fits my use case almost perfectly, and way better than anything else you can get at the moment. And even if your use cases aren't exactly like mine, it still is just an all around solid phone and I've never run into any usage issues or anything like that. It works well and that's what I think most people need. Besides, if you want raw power and top of the line specs, you're getting the Pro models anyway, so you wouldn't even be deciding between 15 plus and 16 plus.

They should have left the capture button for the pro and put a 90hz screen and call it "fluid motion," so it's not taking away from the "pro motion". Heck, they could have raised the fps on the pros and gave is 120hz for the regular 16's.

It really depends on how much money you want to spend. If it were me I would buy the 15 plus either from Amazon renewed or eBay refurbished from a trusted seller. You can probably pick one up for around 550 bucks. The 16 plus is not going to be that much better at all

One of the things I most loved about my iPhone 6s (and miss, now that I'm a Pixel Fan Man) was the "mute" switch. Along with the godawful camera hump, it's loss is one more reason why I'd never go back to Apple. I hope that One+ holds on to theirs! 😉😉

I've had an iPhone 15 Plus since March. It's an excellent phone. Battery Health still at 100%! Lasts 1 1/2 days. I would never switch from the iPhone 15 Plus to iPhone 16 Plus. I only missing a macro Mode on my iPhone 15 Plus. I also have to say that I don't like this action button on iPhone 16!

I hate that notch. I am a first-time iPhone user, and I’m not upgrading to the 16 Plus. I can’t digest the fact that, in 2024-almost 2025-I have to pay 89k for a 60Hz display. This is insane, to be honest. I’ll wait another year for the iPhone 17 with at least a better refresh rate. If they mess up again, I’ll go back to the Android world.

@@ties9123 60 hz display for this price is like waste. Yeah, I had the S21 FE Exynos before the iPhone 14 Plus. Samsung has its own cons, like heating issues and lag, but it had a good camera. I think Samsung paired with the latest Snapdragon will be a good combination.
