Just shows what a great actor he is, I watched one foot in the grave for years but when he did merlin I never saw him as Victor Meldrew, most actors get type cast but not Richard.

He's such a sweet man in real life. When they were filming Merlin in France, I remember taking a walk outside, then seeing him and following him with my friend down the road wanting to ask for a picture. I started with "Excuse me. We don't want to bother you." He went "Oh but you are!" But still smiled brightly putting his arms around us for a picture. I felt so bad for interrupting his conversation but glad I got that memory. Such a kind man. At least I'm glad I wasn't whoever threw themselves against the car Colin Morgan was in 😂😂 Colin Morgan and all the knights were lovely and super nice too btw. Haven't met any of the girls unfortunately. I don't know if he was in a bad mood that day but Bradley was rather cold to his fans.

Ian McKellen isn't Scottish, he was born in Lancashire in North England. Both Wilson and his OFITG co-star Annette Crosbie are Scottish though and they put on English accents for the show.
