It's interesting how art imitates life with Lucas and Gabriel. Lucas joined the show knowing it would be filmed entirely in English. Gabriel started a relationship with Emily, knowing she doesnt speak a word of French. "Both" men knew what they signed up for.

Ciao from Italy, i understand French actors well, i live like that I speak English&Italian&Veneto everyday...to communicate with my husband&other people. Language barrier is huge thing when you can't express yourself, I miss my language which is Kazakh😊... Loving already 5th season is in Roma..ah amo ...Rome is 1 of my favorite cities🥰

This show will always be disjointed and dry in developing relationships. Darren cannot create pleasant stories that would be developed and deepened in the seasons, the only thing he does is erase real relationships and feelings, the way he did it with Emily and Alfie is terrible!!!!. I don't know if I want to spend time on a series that doesn't move forward but gives us nice pictures!!! and places like a tourist guide for Americans. The actors are probably also fed up with this shallow plot that has been going on for 4 seasons and nothing is moving forward, only the location and the lover are changing.
