I gigged out for years, late 90's to 2K's, with an RP12 and my crybaby through a peavy, sometimes just DI, there was about 5 patches I used and tweaked them, there is so much you can do with this thing. everything has changed these days though, if you don't have 15 botique pedals through some high gain vintage amp your looked at funny.

I have two RP-12's. Damn thing, still one of the best, bar none.I'm a collector of floor sound processors, the RP-12 is one of the best sounding units ever made. After the RP-20, Digitech started making gear more towards the hobbyist rather than the professional / gigging musician.

I used to have one. And I loved it. But I hate what I enjoy. I hated it. So I sold it. Damn I loved it

I played through one last night. My producer had one. Pretty cool sounds. Bought one on eBay. For $150 shipped, I couldn't pass up. Good vid and review.

@dimetime2 The problem with this Digitech is that it takes lots of tweaking and understanding of what you're doing. It is NOT user-friendly, but if you know what parameters to turn, you can get almost any sound out of it. It is probably the most versatile processor ever made, I guess that's why it is so hard to program and tune it. For example it has a 4-band parametric EQ and if you don't know how to use it you are lost, you'll never be able to get a decent sound, especially distortion.
