Yeah just picked up the RP55 for the sole purpose of replacing my temperamental Zoom 505 Guitar II as it produces nothing but hiss when a guitar is plugged in.

I know this is an old video but i just bought this. Im a drummer but since i dont have anyone to play with i bought all the stuff to do myself. My tones sound completely different than yours. Is it how i habe my amp set up. The amps presets are great but limited so i bought this and i seem to lose any palm muting clearness. Any advice on how to fix that

Choose a preset from the RP 55 and deactivates all effects least DELAY. So you can use it as a single pedal. Remember that in a chain of pedals DISTORTION first goes after the MODULATIONS and finally the DELAY and REVERB.

I bought an RP55 yesterday. I have a Peavey raptor plus EXP and backstage II amp. It sounds horrible. Most of the effects are like noise. Heavy distortion like. When I plug guitar to amp, hum and other noises are unnoticeable. Is the effects unit faulty?

Try to connect headphones directly to the pedal. If the noise persists may be the pedal, but check the guitar, amp and cable. The best way to connect the RP 55 is on the clean channel of an amp.

This pedal has 30 drum presets. You can adjust the volume and tempo. At the beginning of the video you can hear the preset # 1.

Yo mine keeps cutting out after being on for like 3 seconds, the displays reads rP 55 5 then resets and does the same thing again over and over. Any idea what I can do to fix it? or is it a lost cause? aha

You ran out of battery, I know this is a late response. You need to connect it to a DC power supply. Just make sure it's the correct one.

The sustain much depends on the amp and guitar. The feedback can be decreased by using the noise gate.

I have two (one RP50 and one RP55, pretty much the same pedals) and both of them has had the same issue - the micro switces inside them stops working, so it doesn't happen anything when you press the arrows. However, this is an easy fix. Just find (or buy) new micro switches and replace them. Just make sure they are the same height as the original ones (I had to file the ones I replaced in mine down a tad). Soldering the old ones off is easy, and soldering the new ones on is even easier! :) There's a guide somewhere on KZbin on how to replace the switches, check it out if you want to. My RP50 (I like this one better) has worked like a charm since I replaced the switches.

In the factory presets are two sounds with Auto Wah: # 13 "Wahtch it" & # 19 "Ottowah". You can also connect an expression pedal to control the Wah with your foot.

Like back to Factory settings? You can't change 41-80 they are Factory Presets. If you unplug the power to the RP55,if you're using it off of the battery power unplug the guitar input. Say you are using the AC Power you unplug the adapter from the power input, Hold down Edit until you see -- the release Edit and press Store it will have rE and you're done. If you're talking about just one setting just hit Edit and set it to what you want and it will not erase all of your User Presets like the way I described unplugging it and Holding Edit then plug power back in and that will delete all of your User Presets back to Factory Settings.

I bought this yesterday and i'm dissapointed with effects. It doesn't show you properly on how to increase the sustain of the effects so it's sounds like a clean tone even if you're using the distorted effects. Useless Effects.
