Digitising analogue memories with the Viewlite AV.

Reel Film takes a look at the Viewlite AV from Cloner Alliance.
This brilliant little analog-to-digital bridge, might just be the best in its price range.
If you are looking to transfer old video camera footage, VHS memories, digitising your DVD collection or recording gameplay from retro consoles, this might be the best item you could own.

Nice video. I'm using an ezCap HD Capture Pro which is a similar device but without the display and speakers (don't need these anyway). The advantage it has over this one is that it also has an HDMI input plus it has setting for brightness, contrast and color which I think is pretty important. These devices are great for digitizing VHS tapes without the need for extra software and messing around with codecs and de-interlace settings.

Hello, thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, I know the ezCAP, I had considered getting one a little while ago, but I wasn't sure (at that point) if I would use the HDMI in. I didn't realise that it enabled you to amend brightness / contrast / colour setting. I mentioned that in my video, in so much that the ViewLite doesn't have that. Hi Adrian,looks a good little useful tool,have you tried it to record direct from a camcorder instead of tape when out and about ,I have a recorder with a built in battery which has a limited life .Would be interested to see the quality of recording direct from a camcorder.Best wishes .Alan 😊😊

Hi Alan, hope you are well and thanks for your comment. You know what, I have, and I forgot to mention that in the video. I'll add something to the description. My latest video I shot in Beccles was shot in Video8 XR and I transferred it via the Viewlite AV. That little clip with the interference was a little test.
