I purchased a 9.5mm German silent film on eBay in February. The title of the film is Sabotage (1930). It’s directed by Erno Metzner. According to the eBay listing, it is also known as Rivalen im Weltrekord or Rivals for the World Record (found here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rivals_for_the_World_Record ). I mostly purchased it as Graham Russell Gao Hodges, one of the Anna May Wong biographers, cites this as one of the movies she is in. I have no way to confirm if she’s actually in it without viewing it. If Anna May Wong is not actually in it, I’ll probably donate it or share it on KZbin for others to view. I believe it’s a rare film. Either way, I’d like to get it digitized. I don’t own a film projector so I can’t view it. It’s on 5 film reels and measures about 6.5” in diameter each. I was quoted $1,015 by Northeast Historic Film to digitize the film to 2K resolution. Another option would be HD at $815. I appreciate any type of donations. Exciting! Can't wait to see the movie. Just donated $25. 2K (also called full HD) is a fine resolution for a 9.5 mm film copy. When digitizing old film footage, the most important thing is the skill and experience of the technician. There are many examples of digital sharping, AI retouch and similar that really degrade the finished result.

Sadly, IMDB does not list her as being in this film. I have found them to be at least 99% accurate.
