I broke a branch of begonias off by accident so popped it in a bud vase - it sent out roots so quickly! I follow a couple of Chinese floral designers, oh my goodness what they can do with a branch and a couple of flowers! I really like the use of the branches in yours.

i spontaneously let out a laugh when you said to go out in your garden and see what you can find since my yard is covered with 6 inches of ice and snow! However, I have a Mandela amaryllis with 6 blooms and a white candle with one remaining bloom. So I can't complain.I totally get your point and the bouquet you made is lovely.

I live in Michigan. I have a beautiful red straw flower “in bloom” in my garden. I’m going to use that in my bouquet with some pine a dried sedum and an ornamental grass. This should be interesting. A challenge for those of us who live in northern states. I do remember your Monday bouquets as I’ve been watching you from the very beginning.

Hi there! I'm in 9b as well, just Southern California....and wanted to mention that your limes are still perfectly edible. Yay! In fact, they are more juicy and sweeter once they turn yellow. They still smell and taste like a lime, just not as tart. I purposefully let my limes turn yellow before I pick them off the tree, but that's just my personal preference. Enjoy! (Always love your videos)

Lol go out to the garden in January in Chicagoland and find something pretty?!? I guess it’s worth a try, I was thinking the other day that I might cut some branches from my Jane magnolia and see if I can force them to bloom. I have done it in the past but it’s always been in late winter/early spring and it works wonderfully 😀

So beautiful I started pressing flowers this year and so I did the glass pricing for Christmas I put flowers in a moon shape glass picture frame clear and my girls had a fit over it especially because it was flowers out of my yard and it was so simple and so successful it's just something that it would be if you would do I ordered the Moon shaped glass frames that you hang in a window from Amazon you might want to check that out and that would be something that you could do with your girls!!!!

What a beautiful bouquet! Thank you for the inspo. I moved from Clovis CA 9b to Garner NC 8a last June, and have only had a chance to plant a few roses, shrubs and herbs and a Yuletide camellia, which did not bloom 😢. I really miss my CA garden and you and your channel help motivate me to take this barren property into a beautiful garden, one step at a time. Thank you for all you’ve taught me about plants. I also took your advice and put up some bird feeders to help the birdies through the winter, and it has brought me so much joy to see the beautiful birds of our area (cardinals)! It makes me smile when I watch them, and feel connected to you and my California roots. Happy New Year, Janey!

Good morning Janey, beautiful bouquet 😃 I saw an idea for an orange centerpiece on the tv show The Kitchen where they took wood skewers and stuck one orange on each end and repeat filling out bottom layer overlapping skewers, next layer same but cutting skewers shorter and repeat till you have a pyramid and fill in the gaps with orange tree foliage. I’m planning on making one using oranges from my Mom’s tree. Love your channel 💕

Love the bouquet Monday idea! Unfortunately I don’t have anything I could do that with yet in my Zone 8b garden but I will do it with you when I do. Idea: title your future videos “Make a Monday Bouquet.” Just a thought. It has a nice ring to it. I love watching you Janey and get bored on the weekends when you’re off LoL. I even like to watch you do your garden chores… the mundane stuff. Something so satisfying hearing the music and seeing someone else work LoL… thanks for inspiring us. I’m currently seed starting in my new greenhouse and it’s a daily chore but I am happy to have it to get a head start on the season, especially since we just had flagstone laid and I have A LOT of creeping thyme to grow to fill it in. 😅

Glad to see you using the greenhouse, are you going to be starting some seedlings in there? Am hoping you start some Lizzies, i think it would be the perfect environment, since they take so long to propagate. The weather has been dreary in S. Gorgeous!!! I was so happy to see this on my feed this morning. I love this series! Also loved all the camera angles. For me my bouquet would have lots of pine branches for greenery.
