Writing thru tears seeing your heirloom mums. Have some from my mother's garden. She passed peacefully this Christmas Eve at 94. Ironically, she was born & grew up fishing in Spruce Creek, PA...aka as our beloved President Jimmy Carter's favorite fishing creek.

This ferns are SOOOOO GORGEOUS ‼️💕💥😍💥And love the boxes Paul made to keep the plants upright when in those lightweight things. Was happy to see you keep some of those flowers cut flowers ! They were still very beautiful. ✨✨✨

I think the fact that you leave your Christmas trees lit while you undressing them helps you see all of the ornaments rather than unplugging.

Staghorn Ferns are Epiphytes ...Orchid bark and cactus soil: A good choice for growing staghorn ferns in pots. (An epiphyte is a plant that grows on top of another plant or surface, obtaining nutrients and water from the air, rain, and debris. The term comes from the Greek words epi-, meaning "upon", and -phyte, meaning "plant)..i used to collect Staghorns :)

Couldn't help but laugh outloud as you were jumping up to reach ornaments at the top of the tree outside... at 5'1", I can sooo relate!! The green house looks so cozy and pretty with the added furniture and beautiful potted plants. Very welcoming. (Your vintage ornaments are so beautiful)

Those heirloom mums are spectacular ! Worked on taking my Christmas decor down also. I hate taking the lights down wish I just left them up for a little cheer thru these drab months. There is just something so warm and cheerful about them !

I really wish you could or would put that Staghorn Fern in a sheet moss lined hanging basket. It would multiply well and would circle the pot eventually. In summer, it could live hanging under one of the trees. They really make conversation pieces. Think about it!!

I use the smaller kneeling pad indoors for those tasks where I need to be on my knees. Perfect comfort!!

9:24 philodendron don’t like to sit in moist soil for too long they like to be watered but the water to drain right through . With that large of pot I would suggest mixing 1 part perlight and some lava rocks into the soil so it dries faster . Especially that type of philodendron (slow growing) ring of fires are susceptible to root rot

The past few years I have been wrapping my 6ft and under Christmas trees in cling wrap for storage, only removing special ornaments. I use liquid nail to keep the sections together for easier handling. The next year, I unwrap and fluff! I’ve found this saves time even if I change the theme. Ordering some mums this year for sure!

You could run a nice raw edge wood plank over one side of the large aquatic plant bowl and use it for a table. It would take up any space and you would have a new surface for plants that require more humidity.

ahhh, clean up and out... love it... love those ferns!! i've never seen a staghorn planted in dirt, lol.. they sell them down here on boards wrapped in moss...but i like the idea of planting them in dirt, would keep the roots happier longer i think... ferns are just beautiful but some can be so fickle, lol... those mums are beautiful!!! any word on when the raised beds will be built in the high tunnel? and taking down the trees.. always so satisfying to see things back to normal and cleaned out... the stag pots are going to look great on the mantle! Russell and Douglas are such good friends, too... looks like a productive afternoon!!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤

Went out to start clearing everything off today and found my little angel wrapped in a snow stole. 😇 She was beautiful! My hydrangeas were gorgeous, too! Good morning Laura. I tuck the plant tags down inside the pot after writing the date I repotted them on the tag. Even though I tell myself I will remember when I did it....I won't. I then know when it might be time to repot in fresh soil.

I'm chuckling this morning as Laura is potting up house plants. Asparagus and staghorn ferns growing outside here in Florida. I have two huge staghorns hanging in oak trees. Both are over 4 feet wide. I've never put them in a pot, but mount them on a beard using stagnum moss or peat. An entirely different growing zone. So interesting.

💙Oh my heart. I so envy your Blue Star fern. Doesn’t look like you’re struggling with THAT fern! 😮 I’m working on killing my fourth. 😂 I water it twice a week with distilled water, from the bottom. Asparagus fern is highly invasive in Australia. It is a constant pain to keep removing the runners. My neighbours put one in the ground years ago which affects every house in the street and beyond. Bind weed has nothing on asparagus fern. We have lost whole hedges to it. I am guessing it is not a problem where you live Laura. My heart sunk when I saw those roots.
