Caught this groups at the Bourse de Travail in Lyon France a few months ago and the kid is amazing and wonderfully supported by his papa Joschi on bass and Martin Spitzer guitar. This quality of interpretation and the whole generational pass-it-on for the future element just makes your soul sing. Nothing more beautiful in this world...

no one will ever be like django unless they did something about those extra fingers... thats why django is legendary, he made sounds naturally with the us of only 2 fingers that us 5 fingered guys only try to imitate... but this kid is good.. no doubt =)

Ich spiele eine Taylor K14 ce Builder´s Edition, die akustisch schon gut Lautstärke aufbaut. Seit ich mich mit Django beschäftige, frage ich mich, wo man diese Gipsy- Gitarren herkriegt oder mal antesten kann, bevor man eine bauen lässt. Und welche Saitenstärken so benutzt werden, bzw. was diese Decken so verkraften?

Hi Markus, die Gypsy Jazz Gitarren haben einen eigenen Charakter. Der Jürgen Volkert baut welche. Die am Video ist eine Aylward die ich gebraucht gekauft habe. Im Moment spiele ich eine Jean Barault Gitarre. Es gibt auch Musikgeschäfte wo solche Gypsy Jazz Gitarren herum hängen. Das sind dann aber fast alles maschinell produzierte Gitarren. Schau mal auf Gypsyguitars.de Wo man die alle ausprobieren kann ist schwer zu sagen. Da Gypsy Jazz noch eine Nische ist, sind die Gypsy Jazz Gitarren auch rar. Gitarren bauen zu lassen ist eben ein Risiko. Man muss wissen was man will, was schon nicht so leicht ist. Und dann muss man wissen wer so etwas bauen kann. Und selbst dann kommt es auf die tatsächliche Gitarre an. Also ich kann deine Frage aus dieser Perspektive nachvollziehen. Toll ist es, wenn jemand eine gute Gitarre hat die er verkaufen will, denn dann kannst du sie vorher ausprobieren. Lg Diknu
