Haha that referee would not let Malcolm Tann quit🤣I wish more referees would do this, especially with these American fighters who fight on the back foot and go into survive, and when they get dropped get up at the 9 count and then say in post interviews "I wanted to carry on but the ref stopped it" Blatantly obvious there looking for a way out it's cheap. This was in 2017 and Helenius was in awful shape (for a professional boxer) and he still suffered from an injured shoulder (the power just wasnt there). Helenius won the first 2 rounds but then he ran out of stamina. He has looked much better since (that beer belly is gone). Whyte said after the fight. that Robert is technically better than Wilder. Yes, he is a big underdog against Wilder, but if he wins, we may soon be looking at a new champion.

@@mortenlejn Helenius is rangy and throws crisp hooks and straight rights. Deontay hasn't been hit clean too often. If Helenius can land clean, Deontay chin will be tested. Helenius will have to show up ready to go to war. If he's intimidated by Wilder's power forget it. Wilder is a lot like Tyson. Guys would be psychologically beaten before they even stepped in the ring with him.If Helenius has his head on straight, it will be very interesting while it lasts.

I know, easy to comment after the fact, but it was too much of a difference in the end for it to be interesting. He did try to be the aggressor as you mentioned, but got cough cleanly during the attack, first round. Hands low, no head movement, Wilder specialises in head hunting... Could not see it ending any different. Would really like to see how Joe Joyce would react to those Wilder rights.
