AR Foundation with Unity3d is used to create an augmented reality scene where I walk you through the implementation and all the components required to drag objects shown in Augmented Reality with Physics.Raycast and also AR Raycast Manager.
New AR Foundation Components used in this Scene:
- Physics Raycast
- AR Raycast Manager

Fantastic demo and explanation Dilmer! What change would you make if you needed to also constrain the ball movement in just 1 axis on the ARPlane? Sort of like a slider but in 3d space.

Hi Thank you for the awesome tutorials! It helps me a lot. Could you also make a tutorial for some simple animations? Like an animation with image tracking that is started/paused by tapping.

Hi Thank you for the awesome tutorials! It helps me a lot... but please what is difference between AR Ray cast and physics ray cast
@dilmerv
@dilmerv 3 жыл бұрын
AR Raycast is mainly for AR Components such as doing a raycast on a plane that got generated with the ARPlaneManager or the ARPointCloudManager for point clouds.

Thank you for your comment and great question !
@dilmerv
@dilmerv 3 жыл бұрын
The regular physics ray cast is for interacting with 3D objects, for instance a cube you want to detect by touching with your finger, or a ray that points to any 3D object in the scene.

Hey! Awesome videos, thanks a lot. It seems like destroying objects using Raycast in AR is more difficult than destroying objects in a regular game. Mind making a tutorial on this? Thanks!

ok but what's the use for this? can you use it in gear vr?
@dilmerv
@dilmerv 5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely you can use this in a Gear VR except that it would required changes in the mapping of the area, but the dragging functionality is pretty standard for touch type devices.

Why are you trying to use vars as little as possible?
@dilmerv
@dilmerv 5 жыл бұрын
I do that because of code readability, vars are ok but a lot of times I find that having the type explicit allows me to better read the code without needing to find out what the return type by having to look at the method implementation.
