I prefer both the Air Zone and Tone Zone in 25 scale. I find they have more clarity that way. You should try a Norton in the bridge. Great hot PAF tone with a lot of clarity in 24 scale set necks. I had one in a Schecter, a PRS and a Yamaha Revstar and it was great in all of them with any level of gain. Very harmonic.

Why do you think you prefer dimarzios over seymour duncan?

They have less treble (high end) than a Seymour Duncan pickup. And they feel like they’re heavy sounding (lower mids). That is why I prefer dimarzio over Duncan Thanks for the comment and question

@Sam Morris interesting. I wonder if that's because most dimarzios use a brass baseplate, whereas SD use nickel. Baseplate materials impart certain tonal characteristics, often concentrated in the high end.
