billy is one of the best in the business.not only a killer player one of the nicest people ever.ritchie is great i love how he uses his fingers and a tele thru the marshall killer tone and portnoy cmon,great band!!! i finally put a dimarzio in my 62 p bass.i always play jazz basses.i have several and i have the 62 p bass i played once in awhile or when recording for differnt sound but since ive put the dimarzio in i play it all the time.i have a sound from it now thats addictive.thats the best way i can describe it.i dont want to stop playing because the sound is addictive.plus on my jazz basses i usally use actives or preamps but not the p bass thanks dimarzio for literally my favorite sounding pick up!!!!!!

I've been watching billy's vids for a few years now and ive only just noticed how light his strings are

Shaun Luxon His strings are .43 - 110. Essentially a standard guage Rotosound set with a slightly lighter G and a heavier E. So not especially light.

I had a DiMarzio pickup that was designed as a substitute for an Eb0 or an Eb3 front pickup on my vintage Gibson Eb3.It was every bit as good as an original.If there others are as good as that one and the ones I hear Billie Sheehan using here,I think they are well worth using.I would like to see a demonstration or demonstrations of there whole line of Bass guitar pickups,without distortion and played with fingers first.A pick and/or distortion throws off the real sound of the instrument or in this case the pick up.Hey, people at DiMarzio, Let's hear those pick ups!!

bjørn Edvardsen I don't know what he's using now but he used to use a Gibson EB style neck pickup (sidewinder or "mudbucker") for that "subwoofer" low-end amp. DiMarzio make both the Will Power and Model One in the size of the Gibson EB pickup also and I believe billy has used one or both of those too.

Dimarzio made the alchemy 101 soapbars and then never again has made another soapbar for bass. It really sucks because i love the pickups but i build Modern style basses and like the look and tone of a soapbar. Come on Dimarzio! Step it up.
