This was a Dimash original, he wrote the music. He has so much original material written for him these days that he doesn't need to do covers unless he really loves a song, like Ikanaide which he's just done for the Tokyo Jazz Festival singing in Japanese for the very first time.

Dimash is a huge fan of MJ and have several tribute songs. Another song where Dimash is dancing even more is "Give me your love" Digital show version. This is also his own composition too.

Another fun and enjoyable reaction. As many others have pointed out, this is an original, not an MJ cover. You should really watch the original music video he released before he did this live online concert. The choreography and video production were top-notch, as is the case for all of his music videos. You even see him display his Tae Kwon Do skills. It is like a mini action movie. There are also other concert performances where Dimash shows some serious dance moves, including moon walking. He did a Michael Jackson tribute a few years back at a live concert that is similar to this style of performance. Looking forward to your next Dimash reaction. My current favorite is "Ikanaide", which Dimash performed from his home studio for the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival in near flawless Japanese. It is well-worth checking out. It is the original Japanese version of the song later translated and performed in various Chinese dialects, called "Autumn Strong".

Dimash does other music genres for a long time and some of them are rap, rock and pop. PS: Dimash shows are beside his epic singing and performances never boring. Dimash had a Digital Show back in January. He's been releasing it over time. The whole concert is almost up. He wants to be on stage, he says he misses touring. You are right about the MJ vibes! He is Dimash's favorite artist. I think he has his moves from dancing along with videos as a child. He can also moonwalk. 😄 Dimash said this about MJ: “For as long as I can remember, I’ve always admired Michael Jackson. This was from his Digital show which streamed in Jan this year in the absence of live concerts, it was put together excellently all very polished and professional. I watched the official video on Dimash’s KZbin channel and, to be concise, it’s better than this one. One interesting thing I’d like to point out is that in that video Dimash is somewhat of an a$$hole. Stealing drinks, stalking a woman… The only negative I can perceive is that the visuals are so captivating that the music becomes secondary. Lol I’m commenting on this video and I can say that the music here is definitely the main focus. I like them both.
