Loving all your reactions to Dimash! Check out his song Omir, the official music video from his channel. Composed by him, it shows his musical journey from childhood until the age of 29. He gifted it to the Dears on his 29th birthday. Sung in Kazakh, but turn on English subtitles. He also does a beautiful version of this with his younger brother, Mansur, accompanying him on the guitar, when he was only 16. They do another song that Mansur actually composed, called Together. That mv has both Mansur and their sister Raushan.

I love how he sang I love you in Chinese towards the end. He always pays respect to the country he's in. In his recent performance of Angel Love when he guest starred on Singer 2024 he sang almost the whole song in Kazakh but had a Chinese/American composer write the final verse in Chinese. He'll quite often switch languages in a song, in Be With Me he sings in English but raps in Kazakh. If he visits a new country for a concert he'll quite often incorporate a song in the native language of that country, I'll Die For the Wind in the Mountains sung in Armenian was shockingly beautiful and he only decided on that song two hours before the concert in Yerevan.

I had never liked this song before because how Lions sang it and the lyrics, I just heard it like flat lines of heart monitors 😅 and I thought when I saw Dimash choose to sing it about 7 years ago that would be my last favourite song from him 🤦‍♀️ but no, for the first time I understand that song and lyrics and I love it ❤️. I just love Dimash's rendition of this song. It was OK back in the day....but Dimash gave it so much more, he became that song, more depth to the lyrics even though he pretty much stayed true to the melody in the first stanza. I really prefer Dimash's version. 🔥♥️ Did you notice his voice sounded like that flute instrument in the end? Loved your reaction to this version. Having fun watching you deep dive into the Dimash rabbit hole. Reminds me of my first few weeks after discovering him....a lot of into the wee hours listening in amazement. Agree with the suggestions already mentioned, especially Know from New Wave 🔥 ❤for the lyrics followed by the vocalise version at his Arnau concert ♥️🔥 both on his KZbin channel. Because you need to watch a Dimash concert. You need to make the time to deep dive into his Almaty concert.. He gifted his Dears with the full concert in 3 one hour+ videos.. Because your face naturally reacts just sit back with us n don’t forget the snacks.. I became a Dear in 2017 and attended his O2 London 2018 concert.. After the first few songs I was wondering why I was there.. It was all too pop until he vocalised the beginning of Autumn Strong. A few days after the concert a Dear posted a video of that singing to my soul without words experience.. This was the Chinese song that he sang on the Singer show in 2017.. Gloria Wu created a background and translation video.. This song has a Japanese and Chinese version so watch out for Ikanaide. Prepare to be Dimashified and speechless.. Take the time to prepare yourself for being able to sing along with songs in 15 different languages.. Dimash only speaks 4 languages.. His vocalisations are his 5th language.. This was from I am Singer 2018. He didn’t compete this year, but invited back as a guest after he was a competitor the previous year 2017. It was that competition and the song SO S that launched him on to the world stage via you tube. So the gratitude Dimash has for the Chinese people means he will go back time and time again. He went back to that comp this year, as a guest again, to do a duet with. Chante Moore, an American R and B singer who was competing. They sang Lose Control. It was a fun duet.

Thank- you for your reaction, and for playing the video almost to the end. I remember the Lionel Ritchie version of this tune from the 80's (yes, I'm older than Svetlana - Dimash's mother). I liked Lionel's version then. I love Dimash's version now - even though this video is 6 years old. Dimash was 23 when he sang this on The Singer 2018; he had been invited back as a guest performer. I'll attempt to do some minor translations of the languages used in this song. Most of the song is in English. The first 'I love you' is in English. The second 'I love you' is in Chinese (Wo Ai Ni). The third 'I love you' is in Chinese. (Wo Ai Ni). Followed by a phrase that might include 'I love you' whispered in Kazakh? (not sure) After the song ends, Dimash stands and says "Thank-you very much" in Kazakh. Followed by "Thank-you very much China. I love you. Thank-you so much "I Am Singer'. Maestro, thank-you." < all most likely in Kazakh. Some lyrics and their translations are easy to find online, but somehow, not for this song. Possibly because Dimash and "I Am Singer" received a letter from Lionel Ritchie's lawyers after this song aired, advising them to cease and desist as permissions had not been given to sing it. The letter advised that this song was not to be sung again in public by Dimash. And, we've never seen it again. (Poor Lionel). These are just notes on this song that I have gathered over the years. Please - if I'm wrong on any of this, feel free to correct me, I would appreciate it. I don't usually comment on translations.
