Though Dimash didn’t win, he found world recognition with SOS. Everything ever since, came from that Chinese show. He got 600 million hits on S O S from Chinese you tube. Dimash is incredibly grateful to how the Chinese welcomed him.

Dimash was the first outsider ever invited to this prestigious competition and Sos was the first performance of the comp. No one knew what to expect. He didn't win because a Chinese had to win. He had millions of hits and became a star over night.

Like you, I was horrified that Dimash didn’t win. I figured it was because all the contestants are professional singers who come by invitation. The audience members do the voting, so i figured they voted for stars they already knew. They’d never heard of Dimash from Kazakhstan. But I’ve heard from other fans that the show had a rule that a foreign artist couldn’t come in first. There must have been protests, so they changed the rule the next season, and Jessie J from the U.K. Won.

It’s a good version....but I wouldn’t say way more epic. Just different. This one works within the structure of the performance of the two songs together. Both make an impact and are great each in their own right. The reactions prove it.

I love your reactions to this song. This experience more of Dimash lower register you should react to Love is Like a Dream (a beautiful Russian song writen by the pianist/composer Igor Krustoy. Also react to Igor Krustoy writing Masterpiece for Dimash’s voice for the 2019 European Games Olympico aka Ogni Pietra at Arnau Concert in this song your heard all his 7 Octaves. The only reason Dimash come second in The Singer was The Singer is a Chinese show made for Professional know Chinese singers he was invited as a Wildcard,the fact the he got 2nd place was amazing,everyone agree he was the best singer in the competition,the winner was a singer the was a very famous great Chinese singer,she was more popular,The Chinese are very patriotic they couldn’t give 1st place to a foreign singer for a Chinese famous singers competition.They did however change the rules for the following Year Jessi J won in 2018.

Y'all need to catch up with Mr. Dimash! If you want the "feels" react to Sinful Passion. Autumn Strong and Daybreak (from Gloria Wu's Channel for the back story to these songs). Love is Like a Dream and Ogni Petra for starters. Dimash also does a cover of Lionel Richie's Hello and Vitas' Opera 2 (Dimash can no longer sing either of these songs-Dimash was blocked by both artists from ever singing their songs again-respect for them seriously lowered). Also, Dimash does a duet with Sundet, Notre Dame de Paris, that is one of my favorites (Dimash is younger). Strap up and enter the Dimash rabbit hole. Subscribed.

No, actually you will find out that the winner of that show was not some other “extraterrestrial singer” like Dimash. Because. In fact Dimash was/is a technically superior vocalist, but he only lost to her due to favoritism since it was in China (and he arrived from Kazakhstan as an unknown to the Chinese audience) and they went with a locally-revered, locally-loved and much older (she was in her 50s) Chinese singer. It doesn’t change the fact that Dimash with his SOS, Diva Dance, Opera-2, Autumn Strong performances on that show was way better than any of the performances by the winner lady; and he simply won in the hearts of anyone who can hear) . So, since the two videos you reacted to were from three years ago, here are my suggestions that are a bit more recent : Love is Like a Dream , Sinful Passion, Ogni Pietra/Olimpico (but stay away from the fancam video because the audio quality is not good), Passione. You will see A LOT more of his lower register in any of these songs , as well as more different techniques he uses. Just know that you will be floored. Reacting to only two Dimash videos so far is really just licking the surface of a delicious cake.but you have not even taken a full bite yet. So, please react more and consider my suggestions I gave above. Thanks!
