The Diva Dance From 5th element ;) here some story background.Dimash did it so well here. - "When composer Eric Serra showed soprano Inva Mula (who dubs the voice of the Diva) the sheet music for the Diva Dance, she reportedly smiled and relayed to him that some of the notes written were not humanly possible to achieve because the human voice cannot change notes that fast. Hence, she performed the notes in isolation - one by one, as opposed to consecutively singing them all together and they digitized the notes to fit the music. There are a few moments when you can hear the differences in the vocal tones of The Diva's voice

His range is C2 - D8. Absolutely crazy. He sang D8 note, held it for five seconds and ended with vibrato. That's unbelievable. He sang it in gakku concert from the song unforgettable day which is also written by him

Holy moly ! Nya , I didn't know you would react to this masterpiece straight away. 😍😍😍😍😍 I loved it. Almost got teary. He did that 13 notes riff in batsau concert which is considered to be impossible to perform and Even in The fifth Element movie they had used synths since it couldn't be sung by any human. The thing that amazes me about Dimash, besides his obvious technical perfection, is that he's continually trying new things. He could so easily stay in that operatic style and blow the doors off the place quite comfortably, but he's not satisfied with that. He gets mad respect from me for that. There are similarities between classical and contemporary teachings. However, there are differences as well. That is undeniable. It doesn't mean someone can't study or master both, or a teacher can't teach the difference. Dimash is good example here where he often merge both in a single song, hence could be considered as one of the pioneers of "neo classical" genre.

Operatic training *is* transferable to modern pop. Absolutely. There are lots of useful operatic techniques that can be applied to pop. The reverse is not true. A person who trains for pop will be hopeless in opera without a *lot* of extra training. Further, many 'manufactured' singers (by the record labels) don't have the vocal skills for live performances, and must instead rely on recordings made in studios. They lip-synch and prance about the stage as if they were doing anything with their voice. (Pardon me while I shudder.) You, as a live performer, are superior to many famous pop stars. I'm sure you know this, and it's probably a source of frustration to you. I share your opinion, if not the frustration (I'm not trying to earn a living as a singer, so no frustration here). I'm still loving your reactions. It's refreshing to hear the opinions and reactions of a trained singer to what Dimash is doing. Kudos!

Ciao, Nya again! Greetings from Kazakhstan and thank you for another great reaction. I think Dimash voice cannot be measured with piano, because his voice is the instrument by itself and with wider range than other musical instruments like piano or violin. It is always pleasure to watch Italian reactions, they are so emotional and expressive. I think for Kazakh people Italian pronunciation much easier than Chinese or French. Most Italian words are pronounced as they written (for instance subtitles to Confessa Song). Chinese write using total different alphabet and probably it needs years to learn them, and French write too much letters in one word but pronounce only couple of them (check subtitles of SOS song). In Kazakh we read whatever is written, like in Italian, therefore probably for Dimash it is easier to pronounce Italian than other languages. Plus Italian pop music of 80s is well known to Kazakhs audience and I am sure Dimash grew up hearing Albano, Toto Cutugno or Ricci e Poveri. In his recent interview to BBC after the London Concert he named Luciano Pavarotti as one of his inspiration artists. In his teenage Dimash also covered Jamaica inspired by Robertino Loreti. Of course we all know and love great actors Adriano Celentano and Sophia Loren (I don't know if you still count her as Italian). So we are not strangers to Italian language and culture.
