Thanks, Filipe, for your enthusiastic reaction to yet another fabulous Dimash video. I share your appreciation for Dimash singing in his native tongue. Speaking as a linguist, I think the word you're looking for is "fluency", which, put directly, simply means "rapidity of speech". Dimash takes a little reasonable flak for a few noticeable imperfections as he sings in so many languages foreign to his own, and in fact, singing in SO many different languages, it's quite easy for a viewer to lose sight of the fact that he CAN sing with absolute perfection, and at machine-gun speed, when the language happens to be his own. In some versions of "Screaming", for instance, he breaks into a brief section of Kazakh rap that is as quickly, crisply and perfectly enunciated as any you'll ever hear anywhere. (Sure, I'd love to understand it, too, but you know : you just can't always have it all, right? But captions, yeah, captions, that's the ticket!) As for your comments on the song being a traditional Kazakh tune, I expect you're dead-on right about that, and I think you may be something of a natural sociolinguist. Anyway, thanks again for this enthusiastic Dimash reaction. Cheers.

The meaning of Kazakhstan is : The Land of the White Swan 🦢🦢🦢🦢
@isabelfortuneteller2 жыл бұрын
Eh, not entirely, although very poetic. And it's true that swans are revered in KZ 🦢💙 The name "Kazakh" comes from the ancient Turkic word qaz, "to wander", reflecting the Kazakhs' nomadic culture. ... The Persian suffix -stan means "land" or "place of", so Kazakhstan can be literally translated as "land of the wanderers". Source: Wikipedia
@takappar2 жыл бұрын
@@isabelfortuneteller Not entirely. Wikipedia is also false, not to say the fake pseudoacademic, eurocentric and whatnot papers it founded its article upon th he subject. Sounds a bit boldy. But it is true.
