Dear Sir Hairless, I am in Astana, Kazakhstan right now to see Dimash’s live concert. I saw the concert yesterday and my God, he started at 8:00 pm and went on for 3 hours without a break or intermission!!! It was mind blowing. There was a new rock song that he premiered last night, I think it’s called EASY!! I know you were in Budapest, so was I. But let me tell you the concert in Astana, his home country was incredible! His vocals of course, but the stage, arena jam packed with 30k, the huge screens so no one could possibly not see him. It was awe inspiring!!! Thank you for your reaction! Love it! 🤩👏✌️💐🌹❤️👍🇨🇦

I hope you watch the rest of that interview with the director. He comments that he needed three singers to make the demo tape for Dimash's one voice. But more significantly, he says that Dimash agreed to do it but had some demands. As an Italian director who's had to work with famous Italian singers, he mentally rolled his eyes and got out his notebook for the ridiculousness that was about to be demanded. Dimash said that he's been living with his grandparents to take care of them during the lockdown, and so asked that everyone on set be very careful about wearing face masks while he was recording so that he wouldn't get them sick when he went back. Because he's not only the best voice in the world. He's also a truly decent human.

This song shows us that you don´t need a complex melody to create a really great hearttouching song. As you laid out in your brilliant analysis the melody is simple, but skilled musicians can turn a simple melody in an iconic masterpiece of music. It´s one of my favorite Dimash songs 🥰

Great reaction! Thanks for also opening the reaction with the interview with the film director. Side note, the director had to use 3 different singers to put together a demo to show to Dimash what the song will require, and Dimash simply said yes. And he totally killed it!! Speaking of the famous Queen of the Night aria, well, there’s a clip that Dimash was just goofing off in a stairwell, warming up his voice for fun, singing that aria. The Queen of the Night is the ultimate achievement for any female soprano to be able to sing, and Dimash sings it for fun. 😱🥰 Put that in perspective! That’s why Dimash is the one and only and there’s no one else like him on this earth or in this universe. 😂

So many people want to watch it, but it's only in Italian and never went to general release. It sadly went straight to the rental market and with the country of sale limited to Italy. It's a huge huge shame. Even if just the Dimash fans bought it at least the film makers would get some of their money back. I was desperate to watch it after the clip. I still search for it every now and again.

There is an interview with the director/composer who gave a more detailed description of how they contacted Dimash- the demo took three singers and Dimash nearly didn’t have time in his schedule to record this but his schedule became clear. Thank you for your wonderful reaction, as always. I have seen and read several interviews with the director which were very interesting. It was originally written to be music only, with an idea of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, wanting to go home. Then they found Dimash online and wrote the lyrics with his range in mind. They had to send him a demo to persuade him to do it. When they cut the demo they had to use three different singers, baritone, tenor and soprano..and the soprano couldn’t hit all the high notes. 😂

Thank you for your in-depth reaction! I think this is one of the songs in Dimash's repertoire, which address the topic of death. The others are "SOS" and "Omir Oter". One of my favorite performances by Dimash is "Our Love" at the Chinese "Masked Singer" Contest. Everything about it is fabulous - the music, the lyrics and the performance.
