This was a singing competition and he was competing against some of the best PROFESSIONAL vocalists from China. No beginners allowed. He was a wildcard contestant. Rather unknown and they expected him to get booted out early. So they put him first. In show one. So he sang one of the most difficult French songs and made it more difficult. It’s from the rock-opera/musical Starmania and the character is lamenting the death of his girlfriend and thinking about wanting to be a bird and getting a new perspective. After that he became a huge star in China. I was not a fan of the song at first - but I was so overwhelmed by the voice that I couldn’t stop watching reactions to him. And then I started to love the song. And I still do. 😊❤ As a musician you should know, that you can’t judge an artist by one song. And this is especially true for Dimash. Since no two of his songs are similar - except for the great singing skills. He has shown you very little of what he can really do. He is not everyones cup of tea, but you will only know after you’ve heard several of his songs. You have a right to not like the song, but it somehow irritates me, that you weren’t at all moved by his talent. 😅😜

This was a reaction based solely on this song and my opinions are based solely on this performance. I understand that he is an artist and will undoubtedly have different styles and influences that will reflect throughout his catalogue. This is a reaction channel, and these were my immediate thoughts, I could have gone away and researched/listened to more of his music but then it wouldn't have been a reaction. I do plan on listening to more of his music and my mind is open to change. But for now, my opinions have not changed. Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it 🙂

Are you freaking kidding me!!! Since I first heard his music a year ago, I can’t even listen to anyone else. I listen to him first thing in the morning, last thing at night, on my walks, on my workouts, in my car and on and on. I feel sorry for anyone who cannot appreciate his talent, his creativity, his genius as that person has a very limited consciousness. He will heal the world through his voice one soul at a time. Of course there will be those who choose not to listen. Too bad. A gift from God/Allah not recognized is tragic for all people everywhere.

I think what this reactor is saying is that he only listens to mainstream songs and Dimash is definitely not mainstream; for the most part. But I think the reactor doesn’t listen to much songs outside of ones sung in English. If that is the case, then he should have picked a song sung in English: The Show Must Go On, Hello, All By Myself, etc. Oh well, he will be the one missing out. Some people just are stuck in a box.

This performance was actually the very first time I ever heard Dimash sing too, which was only alittle over 2 months ago, but right after hearing this song, I immediately started watching him sing other songs, however, I VERY QUICKLY realized that HANDS DOWN DIMASH IS THE GREATEST SINGER IN THE WORLD!!!! 💯 he is a Countertenor with absolutely INSANE vocal abilities, techniques, FLAWLESS runs and riffs, singing styles, breath control, can hold and sustain notes for what seems like forever, can sing ANY and ALL genres and has a 7.7 octave range that goes from Bass (B0) to off the piano Whistle frequencies (D8) your overall negative reaction to our PRINCE DIMASH after only ONE SONG is totally an unfair one 💯 greetings from a Dimash DEAR (that's what he calls his fan's) residing for 23 years in the Entertainment Capital of the World, LAS VEGAS USA 😊

'Take serious in a musical type of manner' That statement about this intensely serious guy who has devoted his whole life to music, education wise, composition wise, production wise etc......who lives music & still trains at least 3 hours everyday is a hilarious!! I've been listening to him for 4 years now & am going to travel (from New Zealand) to Budapest in the next couple of weeks to see him live in concert! People from over 70 countries will be in that audience.....his world wide following is massive so, yes, I think 'some' people do listen to him in their cars etc. He cannot be compared to anyone else, his genre is 'Dimash'. He sings everything....opera, blues, rap, pop.....Maybe something in those would appeal to you? Maybe not...

This is an extremely emotional song about contrasts between high and low, physical and emotional, about being depressed and wanting to soar high as a bird to escape it all. There is a reason for the contrasts in his voice because they convey the emotional rollercoaster which is the essence of his song. From being planted on the ground when you want to see the earth from high above. When I first heard this song, I didn't even know what to do with myself from the intensity of emotions it evoked within me when I watched it entirely by accident opening the "wrong" video. Since then, it has been 5 years and i am more addicted to him than ever. So to each their own. Dimash is the most emotional and expressive performer I know, so it's about you not connecting to him, not something objective. If you don't like wide range or high notes, you can react to the many songs which don't have them. For example, he has performed a classical duet with Placido Domingo, or perhaps his music video of Qairan Elim or a folk song Durdaraz.

As a musically oriented person, I find that your disinterest is unbelievable. Dimash is probably the most qualified, most talented, and beautifully sounding singer/musician that earth has ever seen. His description of his sytle is neo-classical, as he has been trained since 5 as a singer/pianist, and studied ever since gaining Masters Degree in Musical Composition, now doing a Doctorate, and has trained in jazz, pop, opera, classical, and now in directing and making musical movie videos. He is awarded as a National Treasure of Kazakhstan by his government, is a national and peace ambassador for his country, and now has been incorporated into UN World Peace ( for what that is worth now, but will be worthwhile in world affairs shortly). He is a multi-instrumentalist, and speaks in Kazakh and Russian as his native languages, knows quite a bit of Mandarin and English now, and sings via phonetics in many other languages.....so his IQ must be of the highest order. On top of that, he is about the most loving humble respectful character on earth, who shares his wealth of musical abundance to his fans from more than 140 countries through concerts and fanvids, on a basis of serving his worldwide community. So if you want to, there is much to learn here or become aware of that will lift your spirits and health to a new level of living, as his frequencies are known to heal and refresh.

I hear the type of comments you made whenever a musician or singer is extremely technical. What I don't get about that is that if somebody totally blows you away and makes you "gawk” in amazement, why is it that they are somehow not to be taken serious musically? That doesn't make sense to me - would you not take Itzhak Perlman or Arthur Rubinstein seriously because they have fantastic technique, and their technique is better than everyone else? Seems to me that you would take them MORE seriously because of that! Granted of course that they are performing with feeling, which Dimash definitely always does. And yes, I listen to Dimash anytime, including while driving😊

Dear, Dimash is far more than a talented guy. He is a music genius, performing with the best professionals in the world. He's been performing on stage since he was 5 yrs old. That's why he managed to reach this perfection when still so very young. He does have a BA in music, a Master degree in composition and now working on his PhD in music. He's not only talented, he's embodiment of perfection. And he's also extremely humble and friendly, supportive of other musicians and singers. He refuses to be pushed in a box, so he can sing in different genres. You don't like this song, no problem with Dimash! He can serve you rap, rock, jazz, music in different countries traditions etc etc. If you like jazz better, try his last original 'When I've got you'. And use translation subtitles button CC. Yes, you should delete this guy from your playlist and never look back. That way, you can say you know nothing about the greatest vocalist you've never known. Yes, this song was performed to wow the audience with his vocal range, as well as his ability to add color and texture at will. As an artist, it seems like you would have noticed that, but whatever. This isn't a song I listen to daily (anymore) other than in reaction videos, which I've seen thousands of. Not to be rude, but world reknowned experts hail him as the best they've ever heard... but you're certainly allowed to have your own opinion. Yes, it is often unrealistic to do some kind of work that requires brains and listen to Dimash at the same time. Dimash wins, and you stop working))) But on the plane, on the train, nothing could be better! When I find a terminal on the back of a seat on an airplane, and Dimash's concert is in it, there is no limit to my joy! Well, in ordinary life, he accompanies me almost always - during cleaning, cooking, walking with the dog (if I do not plan to study with her and she plays with other tribesmen), a break in work, when I need something or someone to wait...

He said he's clearly an Asian clearly I's Italian I'm dying. And he's singing in French. And he's from Kurdistan in a Chinese singing competition. And no I don't understand what you're talking about. It doesn't matter where you're from what color you are or even what religion you are. Music You feel all over the inside. Not to mention, when you really understand music. The goosebumps in places I did know you could get. Them in seconds. And in every language and every nationality you can feel it. The way he commands and controls the audience even online. Tell me who else alive to day that can do that. That's just one song you've heard. I promise at some point you'll say ok you was right and now I agree. No one can sing like this man. He sings a very emotional song without saying one word, and he'll bring tears it's Ava Maria, but it's farthest thing from your imagination.

This is not the only style of music he sings, but I don't think a day has passed since I discovered him 7 or 8 months ago that I haven't listened to at least 20-30 minutes of Dimash. And SOS is probably in the top 3 of songs of his that I listen to, so I definitely think you're mistaken in that assessment! Dimash refused a place in the capital's opera to follow his own path, which he calls neoclassical crossover. In his work everyone will find something they will definitely like. One thing is certain: we have never had to deal with anything like this before.

Don't you think, maybe you wouldn't need to turn up the sound, if you would wear your earphones correctly? Just an idea... without anything between the earphones and your ears.... It easy to understand your own point of view about this song, just because everyone is different, and feels music in a different way. For example, I would never listen to this reaction backing sound-music, it just makes me nervous and gets me in a bad mood. On the other side, Dimash's voice, and particularly this song, gives me extraordinary peace and calm. It just makes me fly to a more beautiful world.

Listen to more of his songs. You clearly have no idea of his very many diffeeent styles, songs and so forth. He can rap. He can do pop songs….I can’t even describe him. Watch at least 12 of his songs and then get back to us.

Wow, out of the billions of Dimash reaction videos I’ve watched, this is the first one to truly disappoint me. I respect your opinion and don’t want to negate that in any way, but it makes me sad that you didn’t quite appreciate the artistry, technique, musicality, and sincerity of this performance. Plus, you’re a little late to the party, but that’s fine. Thanks for posting!

everyone is entitled to their opinions and what they like or dislike. However, you should not judge his talent based on one song. This was his first appearance in a talent competition in a foreign country with professional singers. He was not a professional singer at that time and none of the other contestants knew anything about him. Speaking only Kazakh and Russian, his first four songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin. His English improved with each song. If you decide to continue with Dimash, please react to other songs from this show, such as Adagio, All By Myself, Unforgettable Day, The Show Must Go On, and Confessa/ Diva Dance. There are two many other suggestions: Sinful Passion. Love Is LIke Dream, Across Endless Dimensions, Your Love< Ikanaide, and Stranger. Listen to more and then see what you think.

Some people are surprised by Dimash's vocal dexterity (range and everything else), but perceive it either as a circus act (something beyond the capabilities of other people), or in general as the performer's desire to show off. Most likely, this is because they believe that in the song they have just heard, he used everything he could... At the same time, such an opinion prevents them from seeing how much Dimash's performance is permeated with emotions, how much the chosen vocal techniques and shades of voice correspond to the moments of the song, the text and the story behind it. It seemed to me that something similar had happened to you. All people are different. I would call it a special kind of deafness. But I know for sure that it's treatable! ))) I do not insist, but I recommend this recipe: first of all, listen to more different Dimash songs! Then you will understand that there is no smell of bragging there, because he can do much more, and perhaps no one knows how much more.. Secondly, delve into the lyrics of the songs, and even better, into how each word is pronounced. It is even better to get acquainted with the background of the song. Perhaps not as part of a reaction video, but later for yourself. I believe that you will HEAR and FEEL how much such a performance conveys emotions, that often you don't even need to understand the lyrics to understand the song. And you will also find out how much Dimash can be different, and how diverse his repertoire is. Yes, songs with deep meaning are one of its features, even those that seem pop. But there are also quite a few of them, under which it is quite possible to get high in the car, on a walk or under other conditions! Good luck!

So do you think songs being played on radio are generally good ? I'm not sure about the UK, but most songs on the US's radio are so manufactured and very simple, have no feeling and no artistry whatsoever. SOS from a rock musical is way too complicated for peope who listen to Western's radio pop only.

Hello, I loved his reaction, once you enter the world Dimash you can't leave, this 2024 I celebrate 5 years of following him and with him you will never get bored listening to him, he always surprises you and comparing him with others does not exist, I know they have to catch up day with his songs Here I send you some titles of his previous songs "Sinfull Passion", "Love is like a Dream", "Opera 2", "Adagio", "Daybreak", "Know", "Olimpico", "Passione" , "Confessa+ Diva Dance", "All by Myself", "The Show must go on", "Hello", "Mademoiselle Hyde", etc. and the newest "El amor en ti" (Los Latinos Dears are happy because it is in Spanish, that's what Dimash calls us "Dears" means Dear Ones), "La Historia de Un Cielo" you can see this song in a short film or singing it in live at the Almaty concert on 09/23/22 extraordinary will leave you speechless, then there are "Strange", "Ave María", "Ikanaide", "Dudarai", "Omir", "When I have you", etc. I hope you like it, kisses from Peru.

A lot of his music mixes classical and modern styles in Broadway-type performances or story videos. This song is from a French Canadian rock opera. But he raps, does the blues, pays homage to M Jackson and Queen, and he has some pop music, a science fiction film theme song in a movie with William Shatner (in heavy costume) - not to mention classical opera with icon Placido Domingo. So, if you didn't just give up at one song you might understand what the raves are about. It's a very smug view to have, IMHO, but you're entitled to it. You're just someone I would not listen to...

Is this your measure of talent - if the singer is on the radio? You know how many talented artists try to stay independent and in control of their music so the musical conglomerates who are pushing the rubbish on the radio wouldn't swallow them and left with no control at all? By the way, Dimash sings in every possible genre including pop if that what you would listen on the RADIO.

Definitely, I think you had a preconceived opinion and your mind was made up before listening. Very cocksure. If you call yourself a "reactor" its a;ll about a reaction to "the vocalist and the song" and not a rant on what type of music you prefer while walking the dog. If that is the case why do you not react to your choice of music that fits in your category in which case you will be more qualified to give an opinion. I think perhaps you need to look at your reaction and observe "your preconceived opinion" It says it all you dressed as a homeboy with hoodie you are Jack The Lad playing it cool. Try sticking to the subject and not glorifying yourself in your own taste of music.
