Eventually you’ll see that Dimash is “up there” with no one but himself, he’s like no other on earth. Also yes this is the Singer- in fact Dimash has a lot to do with how & why Jessie J could be on the show & win. Dimash was the 1st non Chinese on the show, & he really should have won but came in 2nd because of this. What I’ve heard is that because of this they changed their rules allowing foreigners to participate & win. I think it was the following season that Jessie was on, & Dimash came as a guest & did a cover of Lionel Ritchie’s HELLO. You must see it by itself sometime. But also somewhere there is a behind the scenes video of Jessie J getting ready for the stage & watching Dimash perform this song (her 1st hearing him) & she is pretty mind blown by him too, it’s a cute video.

It's not for nothing he's known as the greatest voice in living history. This is about 5% of what he's capable of as he sings everything from Opera to Rap. To answer your question about the Singer show, yes this is the same show but it's 2017, the year before Jessie J appeared. At that time the rules didn't allow for a non Chinese to win so Dimash came second. They changed the rules for the next year. In 2018 Dimash came back for one performance as a guest artist and there is actually footage of Jessie reacting backstage to Dimash and also footage of them meeting and hugging after the awards. Dimash isn't just a vocalist, he has a bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition and is soon to finish his PhD. He has sung in 15 language, plays 7 instruments, has composed many incredible songs and his music videos are artworks in themselves as he's an incredible actor. He's also one of the best humans on the planet, working tirelessly for world peace and contributing a large amount of his income to charitable causes.

This is the song and show that lunched Dimash to the entire world. To his concert, no matter how far they are, people from all continents will go just to have the opportunity to see him perform live. I’d suggest stranger from New Wave 2021. It’s like a film score for Game of Thrones and is in English. Dimash sings in about 14 languages. Great reaction to Dimash. I have been listening to him for several years now and find that I have to listen to him everyday or my day is not complete. Jessie J appeared in this show but in the following year. Dimash can sing any genre any style only octave including bird song and dolphin😁😁😁 he even raps and his solo concerts sell out all over the world. Dimash was invited onto the I Am Singer show in China in 2017 as a wildcard, but he blew them away on every performance, staying the whole series. This particular performance was the first one of the series & it went viral overnight! Dimash was learning Mandarin & English while on the show & he ended up staying in China for about 3 years appearing on numerous shows, including a reality show called Super Shine Brothers & releasing an album there that went triple platinum overnight. He is a once-in-a-lifetime artist, as I'm sure you'll disvover if you decide to carry on reacting to him. Welcome aboard the Dimash Train, Blake! I got on seven years ago and I'm never getting off. Dimash has the greatest vocal range of any singer I have ever encountered and an uncanny ability to cover virtually every genre of music that ever existed---from opera to rap, and he does it all expertly. He calls his music "neoclassical" but essentially that means that he combines various genres at various times to come up with world music that appeals to human beings no matter where they exist. He sells out arenas and stadiums wherever he appears from Moscow to New York to Hong Kong to Dubai to London and so on, and he routinely draws fans from 65-70 countries to each of his shows. There is so much more where this came from! SOS is simply the tip of a huge iceberg.

SOS is the gateway song into Dimash. That's just the tip of the iceberg. He sings any genre of music and any range he wants. Yes it's the same show that Jessie J was on but the year before. The man that was with the older lady was Jesse's companion too. I wouldn't say every note as vocal coaches say this song spanned 3.5 octaves and Dimash has over 6 octaves he can use.

This is the 'singer" a music program in China, where INVITED guests are allowed to compete with known artists. Dimash was 22 here the youngest to have been on the show and he was not really known in the music world outside of his own country. Plus border countries. Russian etc. This is a French song , which Dimash sung in french but he doesn't understand or speak it. He barely spoke English at this point. This was the song which brought him out from underneath the rock. This performance alone got the show 600million views, it flew him on to the world wide stage. Dimash didn't got he normal route, he refused to sign up with the likes of people like Simon Cowell etc. Dimash wants to do music his way and not have people interfere. He is not interested in making a fast buck, his integrity to produce the best is his backbone. In this song he is jumping octaves not just notes. Dimash has been training since he was 4 and still trains about 2 - 3 hrs a day. He is now working on his doctorate in music. He is highly educated. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He is kazakh He performs songs in 15 languages; Russian, English, Mandarin, Sicilian, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Arabic ,French, German, Serbian, Turkish,Ukrainian, Kyrgyz,and Japanese. Besides his native Kazakh tongue. He speaks fluent Russian, which is still an official language in most former Soviet Republics. Dimash is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin, which he says is a challenging language to learn. Dimash plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. You really cannot compare what this guy can do to others. He is a blessing to the ear. He is very humble and kind person. His fan club he calls the "Dears" because it was his army of fans which got him noticed all over the world. You will notice his audience is full of all ages and from all countries. Coaches/teachers/students of music and singing are all going nuts over him. You have started at the beginning and its easy to jump through and miss alot of older performances, but they are worth the time to listen. This is the Singer 2017 program for professional singers. He was the first foreigner and the first such a young singer. Jessie J. performed in 2018. In 2018, Dimash was asked to be a guest and sang Hello by Lionel Richie. He delighted Jessie J. In Singer 2019, he also made a guest appearance at the request of the Super Vocal Boys and sang Queen Medley with them. It's worth listening to the performance from 2018 and 2019. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) KZbin channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. At this competition, I believe Dimash was 22 yrs old. He is now 29 yrs old, his English has improved immensely and his voice has matured. Yes, watching the I Am A Singer videos is a great introduction, but also check out his own produced digital shows. I would suggest Stranger, Sinful Passion, Adagio and Ikanide to start off. It’s going to be a wild ride 😂

Love your reaction. ❤ This is 2017 season of The Singer, one year before Jessie J won it. I’ve seen hundreds of reactors, including vocal coaches, moved to tears, swear in astonishment, take off their headphones and walk away from the camera, and even fall off their chairs. I cry along with them. I’m 74, a fan since 2017, and it never gets old. His voice pierces hearts and souls with its beauty/purity and sends them soaring into the stratosphere. His is a once in a millennium voice. We are very lucky to be alive on the planet at the same time to be able to experience this. Thank you for posting your reaction. Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. He came second because he wasn't Chinese. The next year, 2018, they changed the rules so Jessie J. won the competition Please also react to The Singer competition as soon as you can. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas. The song is very famous and popular in China. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once. If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. It was a big surprise for him as he saw his father. I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional. To answer your question at the start - yes, this is from the Singer programme, but from 2017, the year before Jessie J took part. Dimash returned as a guest the following year for the gala performance and went on just before Jessie. (There’s footage of her backstage, marvelling at his voice and saying ‘wow’ numerous times!)

I too got chills and emotions when seeing this exact performance. I then watched it several times in a row as I could not believe anyone could do what he did.
